I'm in a 12 team league and I was in the 12th position. I knew
all the top backs would go so I switched my strategy and decided
to snag the top two receivers.
QB - Brad Johnson
RB - Charlie Garner
RB - William Green
WR - Terrell Owens
WR - Marvin Harrison
WR - Charles Rogers
TE - Billy Miller
K - Jason Elam
DEF - Tampa Bay
Bench - QB Kelly Holcombe
Bench - RB Trung Canidate
Bench - WR Josh Reed
Bench - TE Cam Cleeland
Bench - K John Hall
Bench - DEF New Orleans
This is just my second year as a fantasy player but what do you guys think about rethinking the popular running back strategy
and going wr instead?

I think it's good as long as you get quality backs, and you did. If I were you I'd probably start Reed over Rogers until Rogers shows he can do it at this level, which I'm sure will be sooner rather than later. Everything I've heard about Reed is that he's a monster and is going to put up numbers opposite Moulds.

Cool, thanks for the input. And now that you put it that way, I think I will start Reed over Rogers. Thanks

Not bad for only your 2nd season. Not bad at all. But I'd consider starting Holcomb over Johnson. I'll tell you why. With Tampa being a "Defensive" team that more often than not, will rarely *If ever* do alot of trailing in games. Thus K. Johnson rarely finds the endzone. Holcomb on the other hand, play for Cleveland. His last game, he had 429 yards passing against a fine defense in Pittsburgh. I don't see Clevelands defense in the same universe as Tampa's, so Cleveland will be in more *Shoot-outs* than Tampa. Just my opinion.

I disagree, Johnson had over 3000 yds passing and 22 TD's last year. Pretty good numbers.

Get some more depth at RB by getting rid of NO defence and John Hall. Starting RBs are always going down, and if you have a developing stud on your bench, it might save your season, or you might be able to trade him for depth elsewhere. Also, Rookie WRs like Rodgers almost never put up huge numbers. You might be better served to pick up a developing second or third year WR who is looking at a breakout year.

nice team. you were able to end up with garner and green, but i don't think green will have the monster season some are predicting. only because (as was mentioned) the CLE defense SUCKS! they are gonna be coming from behind all year long, and you do that through the air.

I only say that mainly because of both offenses, both defenses, *AND* level of competition. Holcomb is in a division with J. Kitna, Johnson is in with M. Vick (When healthy), A. Brooks and the #2 over all defense the Panthers. Tampa has a far superior and tougher schedule of defenses (Include Philly and Champ with Washinton too). I guess what i'm saying is follow your match-ups. Holcomb against Cincy is better than Johnson versus Carolina. Just my opinion.

The only reason why I have John Hall and NO as my back up is to ready myself for Elam and Tampa's bye week. But I see what you're saying about RB going down and having some more depth at that spot.
I was looking at the match-ups for week 1 and holcombe seems to have a better match-up than johnson because the bucs play philly at philly, whereas the browns are matched up against the colts at home. So between johnson and holcombe I would have to go week-by-week with them.

Put Reed in the starting lineup as already said, yes look for another RB and also another receiver just in case, don't worry too much about bye week kickers and def unless it is the same week.
