Our back and forth is entertaining... He then links me to some other beef he has with the site when I see this by one of his commentors and it made me sick....

Just know that while the Redskins claim sell outs for every game, you can also buy lower level seats from the TO for every contest. Meanwhile, there isn't even the slightest hint of a blackout threat.

As for the tickets, I don't know how the system the Redskins have set up exactly works but I do admit that it is strange that they are selling regular seats. If it's sold out or if there is a waiting list of people who are ready to gobble up what comes open, why the need for open houses or for that matter sending people who are no longer on the waiting list (me) spam mail twice in a 3 month period trying to get me to buy regular seats?

The only thing that lowering the ticket prices helps even remotely is keeping the stadium workers from being laid off. You will NOT see some robust Jags crowd filling the arena simply due to a ticket price drop. The Cardinals tried doing the same thing, and it had no effect whatsoever. What got the crowds back into the stadium for the Cardinals was them winning. The reality is that drastic ticket price reductions and other gimmicks to get fans into seats are signs of a franchise in disarray and in severe need of guidance and leadership. It's most definitely NOT a sign of an owner who has "seen the light".

Now, if your sole goal for the Redskins is to make your attending games a bit less expensive, then I can see why you'd be championing this twaddle about blackouts like it's a good idea.

Well no, Cali, but the article seemed to be based on what was reported on ES this past weekend. And while its true that everyone on the waiting list was not invited to this event (which, upon review is an inaccuracy in the story), if you look at the initial comments, I see stuff about how these were "obstructed view seats," etc.......when that was clearly not the case. Bottom line is that Redskins GA seats, at least as of last weekend, were NOT sold out.

If blackouts occur, Snyder will get the message: Never make another single football decision, he has failed.

It would be a win-win for the fans both financially, and in terms of having professionals get full control over the team for real--not just in speech.

Here's where logic confuses you: If blackout occur after Snyder has ALREADY put Allen in charge would only reflect on the job Allen is doing...in order for Snyder to "get the message" the blackouts would have had to have occured--wait for it--last year lol :yes:...The BEST thing to get Snyder to realize having a real GM in charge is the way to go would be if FedEx THIS season was full of fans. Jnhay, while from reading McKenna historically you can tell that the guy has an agenda towards Dan Snyder, I'm trying to see how the "truth was distorted" in the article which is the subject of the OP. The article referred to a thread on ES which mentioned the recent sale of 400-level seats on a recent weekend at FedEx. When you read the comments, McKenna is accused of "not knowing what he's talking about" and "these events are for obstructed/limited view seats," when the one that occurred on that day was not for OVs. How would you have expected him to react?

Now, granted, I don't agree with his closing line that "we are going to be the next Jacksonville, " but some on this board have questioned whether all GA tickets are sold out for all games. Don't want to drag RFKFedEx into this, but he made the statement in this thread that "neither sellouts nor blackouts will happen any time soon in Landover." This is from someone to my knowledge who attends pretty much all the games, so such a statement surely had a basis for having been made.

I may not speak for everyone on here, but I dont have a beef with him making innacurate statements (I dont know if his articles are accurate or not, and I frankly dont care) My problem comes from the fact that he allowed and encouraged stuff on his message board condemning a dead man. That sort of classless behavior is truly terrible to behold, and I can state with confidence that I hope they never run into me in a back alley because then there is a good chance I will be going to jail for assault.

His actual writing looks harmless enough, and some of it is actually comedy gold (see high tech screen shots)

Personally, I feel like he crossed a line and it is sickening to watch. :mad::mad::mad:
