LenDale White out for the year with ruptured achilles

LenDale White will miss the 2010 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles' tendon in Thursday's preseason finale.

White wasn't going to play for a month due to suspension, and the Broncos weren't counting on him for a significant role beyond Week 5. Chris Johnson's former touchdown vulture drew scant interest around the league when the Seahawks surprisingly released him in May. We're not aware of any NFL running back successfully returning from a torn Achilles'. LenDale won't be the first.

Ouch. That puts more weight on Knowshon and Buckhalter to get back to full health before week one.

He's done in the NFL. No one really wanted him with his work ethic before this injury, now no one's REALLY going to want him or trust him to work back from it correctly.
