One thing I enjoy about College Football/Basketball is hearing the chants and taunts that come from the student sections. Are there any organized chants that Redskins fans do? I've heard the 'You Suck' ocassionally, but nothing else. In my opinion, well put together chants can have a beneficial effect for our team and let's be honest, they're fun! Thoughts, Ideas?

Quite honestly I was just thinking about the "HEY! You SUCK!" chant and have been wondering where it has been! That was one of the coolest things we had. Esp in 05 when we were stomping the Cowboys at home.

We have our fight song. That's pretty organized.

Agreed, "Hail to the Redskins" is far and away the best fight song. Why would we want to use some lame taunt instead of our song 90,000 strong?

I do not miss the "Hey you suck" chant. Besides being immature and senseless, the last couple of times it went on, we were losing big. It was dumb.

Sometimes, when the team is not doing well or struggling, it's useful for the crowd to help get them pumped back up. The fight song is great, but it's only when we score.. what about something when we're struggling instead of booing them..

I hate to sound like an old curmudgeon but it seems like nobody knows the words to the break-up strain to "HTTR", you know, that part that goes "Run or Pass and Score, we want alot More ... etc." Maybe they should have the lyrics on the jumbotron after a score instead of 20,000 ads for Bank of America?

I agree... Most of the Pittsburgh fans should probably know what they are listening to.

True, that's probably why we don't hear it that much

When I have been at other stadiums donning my Redskins gear they would chant "ALLLLLLLLSOOOOOOOOO" for some reason. :silly:

The NFL banned this from all stadiums quite a while back.

A few of my friends who live in Jacksonville have claimed to have heard it at Jags games (yes, people do still know there is a team in Jacksonville, lol), but it is rarely played.

EDIT: The NFL banned all t Gary Glitter songs due to his child molestation charges.

It was played during the pre-season this year at FedEx, as well as on numerous occasions in the past few years.

Weird.

I can not find the article now, but earlier I found the article saying the NFL banned the song.

Not a big deal either way. I liked the song, but I honestly do not realize it is missing most of the time.

I agree that organized chants would be awesome to have for each home game. We could take it as far as having Monday-Wednesday to game plan for it, have it voted on Thursday & Friday, then post the results on Saturday.

For MNF, I'd suggest.. A S P C A

I know I have heard the Gary Glitter song this season. When it plays, I chant the "Hey!!" but do not follow up with "you suck" I'm to old for that sort of thing.
