I think they need to start suspending players for a season for a DUI. You can ****ing kill somebody doing this stupid ****. They've got to learn.

These are the types of things that drive me to drink. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.) I mean, you just get into a game, you do some good things, and then you BEG the NFL and Coaching Staff to have to discipline you for the last game of the season. Which could cost you a shot to impress either in practice or in the game. Which could cost you dearly down the road.

It's just plain freaking stupid. STUPID.

I guess the guy that called into 106.7 this morning and broke the news was right. His buddy was in the drunk tank with Joseph. Joseph will always remember the one and only NFL game he played in...

Report: Redskins defensive tackle Joe Joseph arrested
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on December 27, 2010, 2:12 PM EST
Washington’s first win in more than a month didn’t come without a little drama.

Redskins defensive tackle Joe Joseph was arrested for DUI Monday morning at 3 a.m. according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post. The team activated Joseph from its practice squad Friday and he played in Sunday’s victory in Jacksonville.

Based on the usual NFL coaching sliding scale of punishment-to-production, Joseph will probably get cut. If he recorded two sacks against the Jaguars, he’d get a stern lecture.

Peace out Playa!

So the Ravens organization needs a voodoo doctor since they had a player involved in the same sort of incident over the weekend?

I now do some part time work for SBNDC, and I had to write the blurb on this, and I sooooooo wanted to get snarky and say "No, it's not cause he has two first names (both of which are the same name)"

Thank you, some people seem to root for the opportunity to throw trash on the Skins for behaviors that happen all too regularly in the NFL.

Get 'em out. Now.

You're playing NFL professional football, if the opportunity to do something so amazing isn't enough to keep you from having alcohol, and driving, even if its was just a little, then you're an idiot, and you don't know how to appreciate ****.

Begin soapbox...

A 150lb man can also get a DUI for drinking just two beers. What's more ludicrous is being charged with a DUI while riding a bicycle and having your automobile freedoms impacted. You also can be profiled then unConstitutionally detained before being searched/tested for a legal infraction. Usually one has to appear to break a law before being detained then searched/tested for infraction. I've had so many bull**** stops at 2am it is utterly ridiculous. That's how it usually goes down, they pull you over on some whack charge while hoping they profiled correctly. If wrong, you're released; there are no real checks for this type of abuse of power - you just got to suck it up. The MADD lobbyist arbitrary BAC of .08 is a joke, there's no science behind it, only the opinion of a biased lobbying group. The only reason these laws have national adherence is because of the strong arm of our federal gov't and the power of K Street lobbyists.. And you know MADD gets a cut from every DUI charge/fine? Follow the money holmes. State/local/city gov't budgets are increasingly using law enforcement, especially DUI, as a vehicle to collect tax revenue. And for transparency, I failed a field sobriety test sober (of course beat it in court), so I can attest to how biased/corrupt these stops/FSTs are - FSTs are created so arbitrarily in favor of cops, they can land a sober victim behind bars and a court appearance.

There's so much to it as the substance of DUI is so very convoluted. Driving while faded is bad. Yes. But the jaw dropping label of DUI - "he's a moron" - reminds me of continued indoctrination/propaganda from the 30's prohibition liquor is evil crowd. If every DUI arrestee was a faded driver, I would support the law. But it is not the case. Too many otherwise law abiding citizens get pulled into the criminal justice system and extorted thousands of dollars. To think this group are all would be murderers is preposterous.

Using a Christmas metaphor, it's like Herod killing all the Jewish babies to ensure the killing of one baby Jesus. The laws make criminals out of the 90% of otherwise law abiding citizens who find themselves arrested in this group, to protect them from the 10% who're actually a true faded driving menace.

I need to wrap up this soapbox but first, need to point a couple things on MADD. Transparency. Number one, their deceptive use of statistics. In all MADD's literature, they use: ALCOHOL-RELATED. Let me translate. I'm a sober driver of a car with drunk passenger, we get into accident, because of my drunk passenger, this is now a listed as ALCOHOL-RELATED. They then use this trumped up number to suggest all these Alcohol-Related accidents are Drunk-Driving related. See what they did there. Number two, unless you walk or drink at home, their end game is prohibition. Memorable MADD quotes: "Don't forget impairment starts with the first drink and driving impaired is a crime."---National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) radio script, July 2003. ”Promoting 'responsible drinking and driving' is like promoting 'responsible drive-by shootings'."---MADD’s Driven Magazine, Fall, 1997. "The only safe amount of alcohol when you are mixing driving and drinking is zero - double zeros, no alcohol," says MADD’s Tina Pascoe. Forget limits on BAC. It's just not acceptable to drink and drive, period" - Madd President Wendy Hamilton.

Malum prohibitum vs. malum in se: most disconcerting is 'malum prohibitum' being treated as 'malum in se'.

The ravens currently have 2 murderers, a DUI is an upgrade for them. I know a good amount of ravens fans, they cant rip on the steelers for having a rapist a qb since they have ray ray and stallworth
