The Bucs aren't going down without a fight today. Freeman throws a great pass in the back of the endzone to Briscoe.
Honestly, I think the torch has been passed from the NFC East to the NFC South for the best division in the NFC, and possibly in the entire league. The Bucs have showed their contenders with Freeman doing a damn good job leading that young squad, even though I think they're a year ahead of schedule. Then there's Brees and the Saints, who have a solid chance of repeating or at least getting to the Super Bowl. Oh yeah, there's also a QB named Matt Ryan who's led his team to the best record in the NFC. The NFC South is going to be tough and competitive for many years to come.

I agree with what Billick just said, the Bucs have been the better team today regardless of the Saints resting players.
Billick is one of the few commentators who doesn't just talk out of his ass.

It's really hitting me that this is the last week of the regular season this year.
Man, I'm going to miss football. Good thing there's still the playoffs, and then the Caps after that.

Coming into the week, Brees was 10 short of it, Manning was 17. Manning could rebreak it.

I don't know why you're surprised. He's been very efficient this season. He was 21-26 last week for 5 TDs. Also he's thrown 25 TDs and only 6 INTs.

Don't know what happened, but I know I'm not going to be very popular for saying this but a Detroit win is good for the Skins draft position. With Detroit's win today that puts them at 6-10 and Minnesota at 6-10, and if the Skins lose today we'll be 6-10 and shouldn't we be ahead of both of these teams in order of draft position?

Well...the Saints have been without Colston, Pierre Thomas, David Thomas, and Shockey today.
Plus, Graham and Ivory were injured early in the game.
That's 3 TEs, two RBs, and their best receiver. Add to the fact that the game didn't mean a whole lot....
It's not too surprising that the Bucs won.
Although the Saints did have a chance to at least tie it up before they took out Brees and Bush.
I will say that Freeman was awesome for Bucs today.
(they also beat them last year late in the season too)

University of Pittsburgh interested in Bengals coach Lewis
Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis is on the short list of candidates to take over the University of Pittsburgh's football program, a league source said Sunday.
Lewis' contract with the Bengals expires after this season and might not be renewed. Cincinnati managed just four wins through 16 weeks and earlier this season tied a franchise record with 10 consecutive losses.

In eight seasons under Lewis, the Bengals have posted just two winning seasons and lost in both of their playoff appearances. Lewis had a 60-66-1 record entering Sunday's season finale against the Baltimore Ravens.

Rogers at least touches it. One receiver let it fly between his hands.. Bradford is finding out what its like to play in a loud stadium when everything is on the line. I'm waiting for quicksand.

It's funny. If this was the Ravens/Steelers at 13-6, people would be saying that it's a great game, but since it's the Rams/Seahawks, neither team deserves to be in the playoffs. :ols:

Saints are dealing with some injuries, going to the West Coast on a short week and Seattle is always a hard place to play at.
I'm not convinced its going to be as big of a blow out as everyone is expecting despite the obvious talent difference.
