This is a follow-up on another thread. I wanted to post a new one because I found someone who said nearly identical things on the floor of the House in 2008. On September 27, 2008 Tom Tancredo delivered a speech entitled "illegal immigration". He started out railing on illegal immigration and then segued by talking about how the real threat to illegal immigration / multi-culturalism is "radical islam", and he touched on sharia law in Europe.

Tacendero has gotten it from Pam Geller and Robert Spencer, 2 grade A imbeciles.

Google them, but don't bother giving them clicks on their websites.

Thus lending a new, deeper significance to the phrase "the blind leading the blind".

Really?....his answer here seems to belie that theory as well

maybe he picked it up somewhere else;)
Congressman West received his Bachelors degree from University of Tennessee and Masters degree from Kansas State University, both in political science. He also holds a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the US Army Command and General Staff Officer College in political theory and military operations.

Yeah those recent honor killings in Jersey then in Michigan where those murderers claimed they had a right to do it under Sharia law are just isolated incidents.

How well did that argument go over with the court?

OJ's lawyers asked the LAPD whether they investigated the reports they got of UFOs in the vicinity of his wife's murder. Think Congress' number one priority should be defending us from the threat of UFO infiltration? Think we should be passing Constitutional Amendments to protect us from flying saucers?

(don't answer that.)

But hey it could never happen here, right?

Trial starts tomorrow (21 january 2011) in Arizona for an Iraqi immigrant.

Yes, they were isolated incidents. Are you actually trying to argue that they are a regular occurrence?

I believe China has posted a few articles about dudes ****ing dead animals. I suppose we need to declare a state of emergency to deal with all the horse ****ing that is going on. I have also read about lightning killing people. I suppose we need to ask our Congressmen how they are going to protect us from the "sky boom" epidemic.

They seem a fairly regular occurrence where Sharia holds sway (of course much other idiocy does as well)
Don't recall West saying anything about declaring a emergency, simply that it needs to be factored into our thinking and planning.

Thing is, what they're doing is illegal already. What's to be gained by further making it illegal under some religious doctrine? It's just singling them out when there may be some who follow sharia but don't commit crimes. Admittedly I'm not all that familiar with it, but can't they leave out the nasty parts or is leaving anything out rendering it non-sharia. Seeing the argument that take place among different clergy over all kinds of things in Christianity perhaps sharia and Muslims are nuanced too?

On the other hand I do see some similarities with the way we've singled out "hate" crimes.

Generally I hold Tancredo in the same light as Palin, maybe even worse. He's nastier.

You mean the honorable Mr. Tancredo? Do you mean the guy who rallied in support of the war in Vietnam and, after becoming eligible for the draft, tried to squirm his way out of serving his country by seeking a medical deferment based on mental problems he claimed he was dealing with? Do you mean the guy whose grandparents came to this country as immigrants from Italy and who wanted to stop ALL immigration into the U.S.? Do you mean the race-baiting **** who said the only reason why Obama got elected was because he had the support of people who can't spell or say the word "vote" in English?

Yeah, he's a real gem.

You say this as though you doubt he has mental problems. ;)
