Can adults still get ear infections? I feel like I have a bad fever and my ears have been blocked up and in pain. I feel really dizzy when I get up but my hearing doesn't seemed to be lost at all but it still doesn't feel right. Any Doctors out there?

Yes they can...go to a Dr,inner ear infection or sinus infection ether one has those symptoms
if you wish to self medicate,a few drops of warm virgin olive oil will help

I get an occasional ear infection in the summer if i spend too much time in the water. I usually just cure it with 1 of 2 things: vinegar (acid kills bacteria) or vodka (kills bacteria and helps dry out the ear canal). That said, I only use those because I know WHY I have an infection and those have worked in the past. It sounds like you should consult a doctor to at least make sure of what it is before you try to self-medicate with a home remedy. There's a huge difference between inner and outer ear infections.

I suffer from chronic ear infections so have tried just about every home remedy under the sun to avoid trips to the doctor. I was told on several occasions to avoid using olive oil due to the fact it can provide a breeding ground for bacteria and while it will sooth the pain from the inner infection, it can also cause an outer ear infection which is just as annoying. Of course, I had to try it anyways and yup...traded one problem for another. I had one doctor suggest taking a sock, filling it with uncooked rice, tie off the end and stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. Then hold the sockball over the ear carefully since it will be hot (you can wrap it in a towel if too hot) until it cools down, then repeat. It really did work in helping with the pain, but you will need to see a doc about the infection itself. Same basic idea as the olive oil without the risk if its an inner ear infection.
If you have an ear infection that is bad enough you are getting dizzy you need to get to a doctor and not worry about any home remedies. I had one that I tried doctoring at home and ended up with such bad vertigo that I could not keep food down for a couple of days.

Definitely agree on the Dr(as I suggested),once you reach the dizzy stage infection is usually advanced
Never had a problem with olive oil(suppsedly a antiseptic and analgesic), though I often combine it with tea tree oil...AC vinegar seems to help as well

Once you go black, you go deaf.
I used to get annual ear infections. No pain, it was basically just like a cold. Antibiotics should do the trick.

:doh" That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. People who drink Votka don't get ear infections? Sounds like a scam to me but I'll try it out this evening. :)
Actually you shouldn't use straight alcohol in your ear cause it will dry it out and crack the skin and cause more trouble than it's worth. What you want to do is use 1 pt vinigar and 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. The bacteria actually explode when put in the hydrogen peroxide; you can hear them crack.. If you listen very closely you can hear their little screams too.

I was getting that clogged ear feeling and nothing could get rid of it. Come to find out my eustachian tube had become infected and swollen during a cold or something.
It was very uncomfortable as my hearing was out of whack and headaches. I did not get dizzy, but it is also a symptom.
Consult your doctor of course, but maybe this link can help

I use peroxide in my ear when I feel like i'm getting sick. Works pretty well most of the time.

The doctor said I wouldn't have so many ear infections if I kept my finger out of there.
