Normally I'd say it's way too early to discuss two overblown political pep rallies, and in fact I still feel that way. But today I learned that the 2012 DNC will be in Charlotte, so here's a thread about it. I can see why they did that. Dunno if the RNC location has been announced yet -- I haven't seen anything.
Does this announcement seem a few months earlier than usual? I can't say I really write down or remember the convention location announcements, but I had the general feeling that these things typically are announced a bit later during the year before the election.
(Cue: "They're starting so early because they're scared and Obama sucks blah blah blah" and "The RNC will be on the GOP's home planet blah blah blah.")
