No I didn't. Because the stupid hotel gave me a stupid key that didn't work in my stupid room so I was couldn't get to see the festivities as soon as possible. Thank you stupid navy for sending me on stupid travel the day of the super bowl.

Thanks, I was busy....interesting
Only complaint I'll make is I wish he had spoke more for individual rights in Egypt, but I guess representative is a step.
Wishing away the court challenge is eh,but what else can he do?

obama gets a lot of credit for doing these types of interviews. Can anyone imagine bush sitting with olbermann? even now, much less while he was in office

Can you imagine Olbermann even asking to sit down with Bush?
I can't. The guy is 100% pure vitrol...which is one of the reasons why he's unemployed right now.

Ehh. O'Reilly /= Olbermann. Not even close. O'Reilly doesn't even equal Matthews.

I thought it was kind of ironic that Obama was talking about how he supports Egypt's rights to freedom of the press and how we value it in this country, yet this administration has been trying its hardest to enact the "fairness doctrine". Not to mention the Federal government trying to implement virtual ID cards for all citizens. I guess that's not really all on him though. He spoke well and I enjoyed what he had to say about what he thought was the most surprising things since he has been in office

Actually, the president has stated repeatedly that he opposes reinstating the Fairness Doctrine.

Shhhhhh, "The All Powerful Rush" and his Mormon Evangelist sidekick Glenn Beck don't want that secret getting out. Don't disturb the hivemind, or they will lash out at you. :ols:

What do people have against proving citizenship?
People seemed to think it was ok when Arizona wanted to do it with immigrants, should the law not be the same for all?

They're afraid of the "Mark of the Beast". Seriously though, folks on the Right want less Federal intrusion, and yet for some strange and bizarre reason they keep calling for more. That I just don't get.

O'Reilly also gets credit for doing the interview, in my opinion.
I can't imagine any other prominent right-wing talk-show host being able to sit with Obama.

I could not disagree more. They are both total extremist *******s, and their shows are/were carried out with the exact same style. They both suck.

Was this interview on Fox right before the superbowl?

I think that every once in awhile Obama likes doing something like this. Lets him kind of be in campaign mode.
I thought the interview itself was fine. O'Reilly I think is smart enough to not be as snarky Chris Wallace tried when interviewing Clinton awhile back.
I thought both sides were fine.

Why would any other host agree to talk with a foreigner? :D

Olbermann probably wouldn't want to. Interviewing isn't his strength.
On the other hand, Maddow has been trying to get Bush on her show for a while, with little luck.

You sound like one of them folks in one of those government churches you know the ones registered with the government for charitable and tax purposes, making you a tool of the government :D

I'm not a fan of either O'Reilly or Obama - I thought it was a very good interview, and both men came off as sincere and likable.

He showed more restraint then normal for him, although I found his cutting off the president in mid sentence several times very disrespectful. I do not recall him doing the same to former president Bush when in office.
