Well, we could have a deal by next week and free agency would probably start about week after that.

What are you current expectations on this years Skins and do you think this years abbreviated WILD and MAD free agency will change your expectations?

I don't think free agency is going to be a big of an impact other than maybe improve the defense. This season depends on the QB play. Assuming we resign Rexy, we will finish 8-8 or 9-7 at best, 5-11 or 6-10 at worst. If we go with Johnny boy, it will be 4-6 wins.
I don't have high expectations for 2011. I look at this year as year one in rebuilding.

I can see anywhere from 6-9 wins. Honestly, the drop off from McNabb to Grossman isn't that far and might even be an improvement. Otherwise, the team has gotten deeper, faster, stronger. We're still not a great team, but if we can be a tough, disciplined one then we can compete.

I think we are going to be really really bad in the beginning of the season. But by the end we will start to figure things out and the young guys will start to get the hang of things. Im going to say 4-6 wins. Top 5 pick and def a QB in 1st round. JMO

I think lots of teams might be really bad in the first few weeks though and schedule will be really important. Its very wide open.

I do think we will be better on defense this year (we could not be much worse) and we will add a starting NT and CB in free agency. Its offense which is hard to get a read on until after free agency - we need a starting RG and RT and have to address QB. QB is the key clearly - I expect us to bring Rex back but we could make a run at say Vince Young. Either way neither of those or indeed John Beck fill me with great anticipation and I think we have the smell of an 8-8 middle of the pack team.

There are going to be some surprise results and teams this year both ways so it would not greatly surprise me if we finish with 4 wins or 10 wins.

I don't have specific names for free agents, but I'm hoping that they bring in a number of guys to compete for starting and backup OL jobs, and a few more guys to compete on the DL.

The big ? right now is what do you do with that other CB spot across from Hall. Personally, I would not like to see Roger's resigned. But what do you do as a replacement? Find one from within? Or go out and get one? I think that's the biggest decision right now, since they are not going to address the long term QB issue right now.

I think I'd like to see Roger's resigned too, but I suspect we mean different things ;)
