Got this in an email...I really appreciate the thought of it from them. True professionals :applause:

Dear Redskins Fans:

On behalf of the ownership, coaches, players, and staff, we want to express our sincere appreciation for your patience and support as the NFL and the NFLPA completed a new 10-year collective bargaining agreement. The last several months have been frustrating at times, but now a 10-year agreement has been reached that is fair and guarantees labor peace, rewards the retired players and ensures football.

As you saw in April, we had one of the most aggressive drafts in many years. The 12 prospects we drafted were the most we have ever had in a seven-round draft. We hope that this draft demonstrates our commitment to building the Redskins into a winner for years to come. The coaches and staff have worked diligently since the end of last season and are fully prepared for both free agency and training camp to ensure that we’re ready for the 2011 season.

We’ve said it before: Redskins fans are the best in sports. Thank you again for standing behind our team as the labor issues were being resolved. We will continue to do everything we can to strengthen one of the NFL’s proudest traditions and achieve the goals we all want to accomplish.

You can tell it wasn't written by Vinny and Danny because it didn't open with, "The lockout and stuff" nor did it include Danny's favorite closing statement of, "I'm rich, *****!"

I think this was a very good gesture on their part and the part of the organization, and I'm not sure why you feel the need to try and belittle it.

More than likely it's an email sent to anyone who is a STH, who has joined Redskins.com, or who has given them their email address in various ways over the seasons. Wouldn't make much sense to limit it to STHs, as I would imagine they would want non-STHs to get pumped about the team and the season as well, in order to hopefully turn them into STHs themselves.

I got this email also but I didn't know that it came to my inbox until later because I first read it on Redskins.com. Bruce and Mike are two professionals. They know the fans care about the Washington Redskins and it was nice of them to send us that message about the ending of the lockout and so forth.

Exactly my point. Very similar to the canned phone calls I get from Larry Michael on Friday's to come on out to FedEx on game Sunday's.

I've talked to all three Larry Michael, Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen in person and that was exciting. Guess I just don't get excited about these types of mass communications anymore. Nothing personal to those that enjoyed getting the letter.

The funny thing is..I read the title..and start reading ..and my before response would be, a letter from Shanahan , Bruce Allen (owner) etc. meh whatever. But after actually reading it and seeing the picture..I actually got got the burgundy n gold warm and fuzzies lol Hail! It's a new season! hope they get some good mid level free agents that overachieve and fill out the roster nicely to be more competitive.
