I will miss walking out the tunnel to a bunch of die hard screeming fans who made life so easy on defense. It's a sad day and I worked so hard this off season to help bring a super bowl to DC. This whole post above hits the nail on the head! Thank you for all of your hard work and effort both on and off the field, and thank you for having the heart of a real man. You are someone that every person, football player or not, can look up to and never be dissappointed. I am proud to have men of your caliber associated with the team I love so much. And more than anything, thank you for being such a great role model for my 11 year old son, who plays defense, and aspires to play for the Redskins.

There aren't many professional athletes these days that a mother can feel comfortable about when their 11 year old son calls someone their hero, but when he calls you a hero, it makes me proud. And you should be proud too. You gave your heart and soul each and every game and were a true class act. Players like you make it so easy to love our Redskins even more than we already do, even when things are looking down.

I hope more than anything you stay in Washington and coach or work in the organization in some capacity (I know it's selfish, but players like you are the ones I love to see retire as a Redskin b/c it's such an honor). But even if the plans that God has in store for you are elsewhere, I know you'll be successful and add so much more than any other team could realize. God bless you and your family, and I wish all of you the absolute best.

I know you worked day in and day out, when healthy and when rehabbing an injury.

A true professional in my book. Though you get to play a 'game' for a living, you treated it with respect and professionalism, the same that is expected of every fan in his/her job.

Guys I just wanted to come on and say thank you for 7 great years as a Redskin. It was a wonderful ride but only because you guys made it so much fun. I will miss walking out the tunnel to a bunch of die hard screeming fans who made life so easy on defense. It's a sad day and I worked so hard this off season to help bring a super bowl to DC. Philip, you will be missed. Not just because of your honesty and untiring efforts, but also your personality which was as genuine as the driven snow.
