Who is The Hangman? Chris "The Hangman" Hanburger was the master of the clothesline tackle. He perfected it and punished receivers, running backs, and quarterbacks with his patented clothesline at nearly every opportunity. He was a monster on the field and one of the best outside linebackers in the history of the NFL.......

Way over due for this Hall of Fame Induction (like James Arthur). In 1976 when my father first introduced me to becoming a Redskins Fan Chris Hanburger was one of the first names I can remember, at the time I don’t even think I knew what a LB was. It was just a catchy name because it sounded like Hamburger. On a side note I saw an interview with Texan Matthew McConaughey and he is a Redskins Fan and he thinks it either started buy rooting for the Indians in Cowboy / Indian Movies or because he liked Hamburgers as a kid and the Redskins had Chris Hanburger.
