Rather see Hankerson active over Stallworth, but it makes sense.

Hate that AA and Young are out. I think our run game really missed Young last week and the absence of AA was impactful to the negative

I would look for Terrence Austin to have a career game coming off of play action

I really want to see Hankerson out there making a difference given how this team hasn't hit on WRs recently in the draft.

Hopefully we use Stallworth today. Rams are a liability in the secondary, we need to exploit it.

Kind of like Fred Davis? Davis has been a very big bright spot this year, alot brighter/better than Chris Cooley.

Yah, Davis is 25th in the NFL in receiving yards.

"One play a game"

Maybe because Nebraska was getting waxed? :ols: That could be why.

ID like to see us use cooley at fullback. Others have suggested this and they did it early on in the game last week. Creates so many mismatches.

Rams inactives from gameday thread on realramsfans.com:

@Ron_Clements
#Rams inactives: WR Danny Amendola, CB Rod Hood, RB Jerious Norwood, LB Jabara Williams, TE Stephen Spach, WR Greg Salas, DE C.J. Ah You.

EDIT: Question over there as to why RB jerious norwood is inactive. Answer:

Rams will give rookie RB Quinn Porter a shot today. With Norwood down, Porter will handle kick returns and serve as third RB.
--
@TurfShowTimes Nothing. McMahon said this week he wants more out of return game. They like Porter's potential.

Can Lorenzo Alexander play Full Back on short yardage? I see him as being beast mode back there... Cooley is not a fullback, he tip toes through the LOS and looks to avoid hits even as a TE.

For the Rams. It was a disaster in Dallas.

Why was it a disaster? I guess I didnt pay attention closely other than him catching a pass.

Im not stoked on Sellers.

So who do the Rams have left at WR with Amendola and Salas out??

:ols: I sincerely hope not. The guy maybe good for one surprise play a game.

As long as he picks up the blitz, it doesn't matter. We all know he can block. The FB doesn't get many carries anyway and having Cooley back there creates more match-up problems because of his receiving ability. You will have to account for him more coming out of the backfield. He is a bigger threat than Young or Sellers in the passing game coming out of the backfield. Having a LB on Cooley is a mismatch.

C'mon Sellers is alright, he will hurtle one or two guys a game and block fairly well. Rather have a healthy Young back but oh well.

The FB rarely gets any carries in this offense, he is there for blocking (which Cooley can do) and he can be a threat to catch the ball (which Cooley is). As long as they don't try to hand the ball off to him twice in a row again it's a good move.

They put Fred's picture on milk cartons after last Monday night because he went missing.

"Fairly" well might be overstating it...it seems like he has lost the desire to stick his nose in there and block in his older years...

And many more opportunities to see Cooley and Davis on the field at the same time.

Cooley will start at FB if we start with a formation that calls for a FB, he blocks OK and is obviously excellent receiving from that spot. It's like when Don Warren used to line up at FB when we went I formation back in the 80's. Just don't hand it off on the FB duve again to him.

Maybe disaster was too harsh a term. I just kept seeing Cooley get off slow and miss blocks. As for receiving from that position, I'm sure it was him being new to it.

I agree. Hankerson can get up. I'd love to see Grossman or Beck throw the ball up for him to go get it. I don't care if he catches one handed or two handed though honestly it seems like he's better one handed.lol
