well...

Personally, i dont think were using the right offensive weapons, nor are we always using them correctly.

I am a BIG Capt Chaos fan. I know Fred Davis is very reliable and can be a reliable target in clutch situations but wheres Cooley been this whole time?? They def haven't been using him to the best of the team's ability. He's been very important for us in past years and i believe he still is. He needs to be getting more looks, especially when we head closer into the redzone. he only has 7 catches for 66yds. 2 catches in the first week, 4 for 41yds vs dallas and only one catch for 4yds vs the rams. cooleys the man, we need to use him wisely and get him more looks.

I like the trio we got but Hightower cant always pull it off. He has a 3.5avg going for him and a single TD. Not the greatest stats. Helu, when he comes in, he does his job to make an impact and i think hes looking pretty good out there. And of course, all of you saw what Ryan did when he came in for the first time this season. In 10games last year he posted 742yds with a 4.5avg and 4TDs. He also had an impact catching the ball 18times for 125yds and two scores. We can combine the three for a great combo on the ground. time to do it to it.

moss is getting a lot of looks and makes plays when he gets the ball.hes only behind davis by 2yds with 246receiving and 2 scores. jabar is doing good as a number 2 and helps out on crucial downs. he has years of experience and knows what he has to do to get open. I wish armstrong was used more often though. i dont know what been up with him the past 2 wks. the first game he had two catches, one for a score. the 2nd week vs the cards he got another 2 catches for 14yds but since then, nothing. that needs to change for sure. even helu has more catches and yards then armstrong.

i havent been really paying attention to the fullback situation. so i guess theyre not using the big tank, sellers, anymore. is young the guy then? havent really seen him...making good blocks i hope?

the problem for a long time now is the redskins cant finish their games. 4th quarters seem to go downhill. we need to stay in rhythm, not get ahead of ourselves and keep the team chemistry strong. rex (that is if he is staying as our number 1 qb?) needs to be looking to the right players, LOOKING OUT FOR THE DEFENSE and keep the drives going. we can have a very strong run game, but it needs to be worked out and balanced correctly. we have players who have been, are, and will be crucial to this team's success. We need to be using the right combo of players and get the ball to our playmakers. this team can make it happen. but we need to stick together and work and strive to live up to our potential and ability. lets do this.

you think were using the right guys correctly at the right times?

What's up King. As said above, Armstrong and King are injured. Cooley is very slow and not fully healed. He's much less effective than he's been in years past.

It's not just the weapons that have to be used differently, part of it is on the players. When those weapons are on the field they need to get open. Rex is not the best QB and won't always make the best throw, so that's why these guys have to get open for him early or else he will just throw to his first target. I agree Cooley needs to get more targets, but he is slow so far. After the bye week he should hopefully be a little better. Gaffney has proven to be pretty clutch and Armstrong has missed the last 2 games. As long as we keep winning I could care less who catches the ball.

We need a number one receiver. It's been an issue.

Davis busted outta the gate week 1, but since has all but disappeared.
Whats up wit dat?
I've always been a fan of the single back offense w/ a 3 rec. set, but I know it goes against Shanny's style. IMO, the weapons aren't so much of an issue as to the formations they're in, and the playcalling on a particular down. I do know that the left sweep will only work for a few more weeks before teams pick up and adjust to stop it, but quite a few times there have been wide open lanes for HT if he would cut it back to the right; no one around and he could walk 5 yds before being hit, so I will ask this;
Does Shanny have any form of left sweep right pitch in the playbook? If the o-line drives to the left, and maybe something on the lines of a studder play, pitch out right side. I'm sure it could only be audibled, being the qb will have to see the d formation, but then again I am not sure that Kyle or daddy allows for audibles. Is it feasible?

A football season is like a long chess match. You do something one week and immediately your next opponent figures out how to stop it or take it away. That's what's up.

Wow...really? I had no idea that could be done!
I was speaking more on the lines of utilizing him in other ways/formations which create more favorable match-ups, as what was done with Cooley. When Cooley started, he was visible for most all of the season, but that falls on playcalling...

I think this team needs a constant rotation at runningback. Hightower was starting to press a li ttle when the hole were not there so when they started to open up he was not hitting them well.

Shanahan's offense is run first and Torain's big day reminded us of that. Fresh legs wearing down the opposing defense and leading to Rex making the easier throws. With this style of offense, we might see a different player have big numbers every week. Whether it be Davis, Moss, Gaffney etc...running the ball first and throwing the ball to whoever is getting separation will be the key to our success down the stretch.
