scrap all of the scrubs they all have to go. Sam has lost his mind and its very obvious that he has alzheimers, or atleast the early stages. Larry is average tops on a good day. and Sonny is alright but he is starting to lose it.

so take those people out and put in

Riggo
Smoot
Dex

now this is just a make believe thread its obvious that it would never happen. First because Riggs isnt scared to talk the truth so they wouldent put him on the air. same with Dex and smoot has a contract with comcast i believe so it obvious wont happen.

but just imagine what the booth would be like with those 3 guys in it

inb4 that wont happen

That would be a train wreck.

Everyone would fight for air time and we would probably only hear about the game every now and then. A few years ago I thought a tea, of Mike Patick, Joe Theisman, and John Riggins would be a good one. I don't know if that would work any longer though.

Riggo would never work for Danny.... never.
Dexter? Are you kidding me? He's my favorite player ever, but the few brain cells that he didn't smoke stupid aren't doing so well.
Smoot, I've got mixed opinions on, but it would definately be entertaining,,,,

But, that's three color guys.... who calls the play by play?

I wouldn't mind having Doc Walker and Charles Man up there, or Joey T and Charles Mann.... even though Joey T get's annoying.

HAIL!

7 only gets annoying for being a homer...which is what you want from a local radio broadcast.

Yea, on the field I love riggo, but that was a long time ago. Now, I wish that Riggins would shut his mouth more often than not.

Id like to see Ross Tucker calling games. Anyone who listens to sirius knows how high his football iq is

Get a broadcast professional for the play by play (someone young) and let them develop chemistry and excellence for the next 40 years. Oh, and put jon jansen on the sidelines

Don't get the fascination with Riggins. The guy sucks. He was at times entertaining as a player because his schtick was taken in moderation. As an on air "personality" he's been terrible and a failure.

I've always thought Mike Patrick did a great job opposite Joe T. I also think Doc Walker has gotten better and better over the years since I first heard him do ACC games. I'd love to hear Doc and Smoot together with a good straight-up play by play guy like Patrick. They need to do something...

Mike Patrick would have to give up doing college games if he was to do Redskins games, which I don't see happening.

I like Sam, but he needs to hang it up. Sam is out of sync as to what is going on sometimes. Larry doesn't have time to call some plays because Sonny is explaining the previous play to Sam because Sam didn't understand...then suddenly Doc screams touchdown! And your wondering what the hell just happened. Having 4 people doing the radio get's confusing sometimes. But it's still fun to listen to.

Ex-Redskins who would be cool in the radio booth:

Theismann
Mann
Gary Clark
Bostic
Buges
Smoot
D Green
Jansen

Another Ross Tucker fan in the house. He really does a nice job on Sirius NFL Radio. I could see him doing a solid job in the booth.

Michaels is going nowhere, but I think when it is all said and done the crew of the future will be Theismann and Doc Walker.

Yeah, i like Ross's show. He started off kind of off during the lockout and beginning of the season, but he's getting back how he was last year now. I make it a point to get in the truck at 6am every morning. Not a minute before or after!

However, Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan i think have the best NFL show out there. Those two know their stuff.

Adam Schein should be fired. I can't stand that clown. Without Rich that moron would go on all day with his nonsense.

As for the national calling....i think Aikman and Theisman would be a good combo. LAWLS.

Skins n' Bones
October-4th-2011, 11:06 AM
I agree about Huff. I listened to the first quarter and a half on Sunday, and he was just awful. He said how the Skins got the penalty yardage back on one play, and Larry had to awkwardly correct him because there was no penalty. It's sad, and Sonny is still good, but after 31 years, it's time to get some new blood in there.
It looks like Doc and Joey T are prepped to step in, but the idea of Smoot in there would be nice too...the dynamic between Joe and Fred fighting over time to talk could be quite entertaining! Then they could keep Doc on the sidelines, which he excels at.
Riggo...as others have said, loved him as a player but hate him as a personality, and he would never go back to work for Snyder.
And Dexter could be great to have occasionally as a guest, but not as one of the regulars.
And as others have said, Larry isn't going anywhere, like him or not.

It would be like putting the Three Stooges in the booth. They all would be putting their heads in vices, poking each other in the eyes, kicking each other in the rear and doing the Curly shuffle at halftime. You would never know who had the ball, know the score or even know that the game had started or had finished. But it would be funny to hear. Just kidding. LOL

October-4th-2011, 01:07 PM
Yeah, they are not getting rid of Larry, you have to have a play by play guy, you cannot have three color commentators as nobody would have control. The play by play guy captains the ship and gives the proper amount of slack to the color commentators but has to reign them in from time to time, seel Al Michaels, who excels at this.
I need to check out Ross Tucker, as I would think we could and should have a better broadcast team. That being stated, if you check out the NFL preseason where you get to see what the other teams have...we still may not have the worst team out there.

I dont get the fascination with Joey "I would have sex with myself if I could" Theismann. That guys a joke. I'm glad there is a mute button when that guy is talking. Never seen someone so fascinated with himself

I could live with that. I still like Sonny, and have noticed Sam decline...and since Michaels is here to stay, I think him along with Joe and Doc would be good.
