View Full Version : Think the Shanahans will look to bring back Casey Rabach??

I know Casey was not a very popular guy on ExtremeSkins last year and I think everyone was happy he was cut, but.............
Now that Kory looks to be down for the year and Trent is going to more than likely miss some time........ Assuming he's stayed in football shape, do you think the Skins make a run at Rabach to come back & play center? Montgomery would move over to LG to replace Kory's position. Lineup would be Brown-Montgomery-Rabach-Chester-Locklear. I think we will move Brown over to LT (where he was a Pro-Bowler with the Saints) and put Lockler at RT, which is his natural position. Rabach's certainly no all-star, but I think he's probably better than Erik Cook at this point. Do we make a run at Rabach or another center or do we stand pat with Cook??? Guess we'll find out in the next couple days.

They'd be better off w. 10 men on the field.

I'd rather just see what Cook has. We know Rabach stinks, might as well see if Cook can be serviceable.
I hate when injuries happen and people run to find out what FAs we can sign. You can't develop young talent without giving them a chance to play!

No. Casey Rabach is done as a Washington Redskin. This team has to play the kids when people get hurt. We have to think about the long-term.

We still looked better at center today, than in Rabach's last season.

I'd prefer that they sign a prospect off someone's PS and play some youth. That is what this season will ultimately be about when we look back on it.

No desire to go back to analyzing the way he positions his butt!
Seriously, Casey didn't work before, and I agree it's time to test out the young guys.

Understand and agree but hell, we have no depth..... We're going to have to sign somebody as a potential starter and at the least, as a backup. We had insufficient O-Line depth going into today's game, now with 71 and 78 out, we're in big trouble.

I think we know what Rabach can do. Or better yet, can't do.

we can always try Cook at guard if we have to. And the guy we bring in, which we will, will definately be a guard.

So let's see what we have in Olsen and Hurt. No reason to bring in Rabach.

No to Casey Rabach.. He was nothing more than an arm handing the ball to the QB. Didnt even slow down the defender, and usually ended up ontop of our QB before he knew what hit him..

No.... Give Cook more of a chance.... Although I really wish he could play the G position so Monty can stay at C......

Well that's weird logic. Remove failures from team. New guy injured. Re-obtain failure. ..? Casey was let go because he just wasn't cutting it. He got pushed back like a boy among men. So that reasoning still stands, and I say no.

Casey's done. We'd be better off with a tree sloth. Or a penguin. Hell, a tree sloth AND a penguin. Let 'em take turns.
More likely they'll look around at every practice squad in the league, and pick up a guy that they had rated highly coming out of school.

i want montgomery back at center. Bring in somebody new for fill in for Lichtensteiger and that way we only have one different piece (assuming TW comes back)

Erik Cook, Maurice Hurt, and Eric Olsen should all get their shot on the interior OL before we bring Rabach back.

Are you kidding me dude? NO. When starters go out, let our young backups play. How are they ever going to get the experience if we go sign back someone we cut for SUCKING?

Chill, bro.... I'm not saying I want Rabach back on the team, I'm just asking if you think Shannahan may look in his direction with the injuries...... I'm all for giving Cook, Hurt, Olsen, etc. a shot but make no mistake, we will be bringing in a few bodies for depth on the O-Line.

I don't say this often, but this idea is just stupid.
Let's see what the other players do. Rabach was tops on the list to go with McNabb, Haynesworth, and Portis.
