I have a confession today, with the Pukes winning today and the Redskins falling out of the NFC East Race I rooted for the Giants. I look at it this way the Skins, with that offense, are not going to win the NFC East and at this point I did not want to see the Cowboys pick up a game on the Giants and move closer to 1st place in the NFC East.
I hope you can find it in your power to forgive me but I hate the Cowboys more then I love the Redskins.

Naw, no beef with me. Giants are hardly a blip on my hate radar.
Still, for good measure, sing Hail to the Redskins three times and say a prayer to St. Joe. :D

That's OK. If the Giants, Lions and Bears (oh my) keep winning... they won't even see the playoffs.

They can all go to hell! I rooted, as always, against ALL of them! Just as I do every week.

I'll admit my disdain for the Coughlin lead Giants is pretty high right now. But right now I really don't care too much about Pro Football. its hard to enjoy when we are this bad.

My thoughts as well.

I was doing the same. With the NFC North and South, I figure they are the likely ones for the wild card. Figured I'd rather see the Giants win the division, considering they've been doing it for awhile anyways and let everyone else sit on the couch.

if the skins dont and they wont make the playoffs then the season ends for me the last sunday of the regular season, but the australian rules pre season starts about then so for me its all good by the way Hawthorn in the Australian Football League were brown kinda like burgandy and gold too so if you want to follow something during the summer follow the hawks

I just don't want the Eagles winning the East. Simple as that.

I don't really think you've sinned....if anything you've just legitimized your Redskins fandom. It's obvious we're not going to win, so why not root for anyone but the Cowboys....it makes total sense. I absolve you of your sins my child, now go forth in peace*
*This is done purely in jest, I cannot absolve sins, only commit them. Please seek God if looking for true forgiveness.

I bet on the 49ers. So, I wasn't cheering for the Giants.
You're justified in cheering for the Giants though. As long as it has a purpose. The Redskins have so many grudges at this point that we're bound to run into conflicting games. Of course, we hate our whole division, but we also hate the Cardinals, because they used to be in our division. We don't like the 49ers because we were big rivals in the 80s. We don't like the Buccaneers, because they beat us in the '99 playoffs and that bull**** Chris Simms game. We don't like the Seahawks, because they beat us in the '05 and '07 playoffs. We don't like the Dolphins or Raiders because they beat us in the Super Bowl. We don't like the Ravens because they play so close to us and we run into too many of their fans. We don't like the Colts, because they used to play in Baltimore as well. We don't like the Chargers because of Norvall. Really, it's too many rivalries to be against all of them all the time. Sometimes you just have to cheer for one of them.

all bets are off this season... I've seen too many hardcore fans, loyal since the RFK heydays quit on the team this year...

I for one don't hate you or are mad at you. I am just disappointed in the performance of a team of players that call themselves professionals. I am also grateful that I am able to post on the board again. I broke rule 11 and the mediators banned me for a week. So you are forgiven in my book.

Honestly, I don't think it matters who wins the NFC East. That team will be out of the playoffs very fast, probably Wild Card Weekend. There is too much fire power in the NFC North. Even if something miraculous happens and Green Bay falls flat and loses, there is no team in our division better than the Saints, 49ers, or Bears.

I don't hate the Cowboys more than I love the Redskins. I don't root for any of our division rivals. **** them. Let the division winner finish 8-8 with the #4 seed.

Yeah, I don't hate Dallass more than I love the Redskins either.
But I was rooting for the Giants yesterday. Because I'm a pragmatist. Nothing the OP said was wrong until he got to the end. We don't have a prayer of making the playoffs. At this point even talk of an 8-8 season would be outrageously optimistic.
I hate Dallass much much much more than I hate the Giants. In fact, the Giants were scientifically proven to be our least hated rival. http://www.extremeskins.com/showthread.php?353376-Which-NFC-East-Opponent-Do-you-Hate-the-LEAST I badly want them and not Dallass to win the NFCE, so I was rooting for them yesterday. And don't see a reason I shouldn't be rooting for them next week.
Not rooting like watching every play and cheering wildly. But hoping they would win, and glad they did

The NYG are the team that I hate the least in the NFCE. Them winning the division, to me at least, is better than DAL/PHI winning it. That's assuming we aren't going to win it (any year, not just this one).
