This video has been in my sig for awhile. I think it's an appropriate journey through the world of Slingin' Sammy.

His stats are here (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BaugSa00.htm). Don't forget to scroll down and see his appearances on the leader board. He sure was #1 for a lot of categories during his era, and still top 100 down to #1 ranked for some all time lists.

Wish I could get it to embed. If it's possible and I screwed the pooch, just let me know. I'll edit.

I remember seeing him play in old Griffith Stadium, in 1948.

Please, if you can share some of those memories with those of us born too late to see the greatness first hand.

Some of our younger posters may not be aware that number 33 is the only officially retired number for the Washington Redskins.

Thanks to the alphabet, Sammy Baugh was actually the very first member inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Not much love for Sammy here today. I'll bump this up by adding I wore #33 throughout high school and college because of Slingin' Sammy. Hail.

He was by far the greatest Redskin ever. It's not even close for second.

I think he got robbed in the NFL Networks top 100 players of all time. He was in the twenties I believe.

He was one of the greatest players to ever play the game. I don't think he gets the respect he deserves.
