guys i need some help, again. this is the biggest game of my season so far. He has torry holt and issac bruce, and i have marc bulger. and the rams are playing pitt. this sunday. I also have tommy maddox playing against those same rams. so i guess what i'm asking is....
Who will have a bigger sunday tommy maddox vs.rams or mark bulger vs. the steelers? and....
is there any fantasy strategy to be considered because i have a qb (bulger) throwing pts. to HIS recievers (holt and bruce)?
pt. system
1pt./ 20 yds passing vs. 1 pt./ 10yds. rec.
4pts. passing td vs. 6pts./ td rec.
no extra pts. for # of receptions

Earl:
I have the same two qb's along with Hasselback.
I'm going with the hot hand Bulger, Maddox has really struggled
this season and the lack of running game has hurt him. the Rams are rolling and their confidence is high. Aeneas williams is back at his familiar corner spot and that will hurt Ward, Tommy's favorite target.
Good luck!:dallasuck

I know I'm a little late on this, but I would have gone with Bulger too.
In general, I like to start a QB throwing to my opponent's receivers. What you're always afraid of in fantasy is one of your opponent's players blowing up and having a huge game. When you put Bulger in there you cancel out any advantage he might get if Holt or Bruce have a huge game. That way you can win the matchup with your other players. In this case, you get to cancel out two of his players with one of yours so it's an easy choice.
I think this rule is even more clear if you are choosing a defense. I have the KC defense and the Carolina defense and my opponent was starting Aaron Brooks at QB. Since I would already be getting points for Brooks' sacks and INT's, there was no reason to start the Panthers' D. And, if Brooks lights it up I would get hit twice as hard. The NFL is very unpredictable, and the less I have riding on one particular game or one particular team, the better I feel my chances are.
