How do the Redskins affect your fantasy football decisions?

I have two hard rules:

* Never start a player against the Redskins
* Never have a Cowboy on my team

Following these rules makes me lean towards AFC players, but most fantasy studs are in the AFC nowadays so it works out well.

This year, I've even managed to avoid non-Redskin NFC East players completely, mostly because the NFC East kind of sucks.

What do other people do?

I find that I have to take myself the fan away from myself the fantasy football owner. I use the players I think will help my team.

Last year I had Emmitt on my team and he had some games where he scored valuable points. As a journalist I am constantly reminded that I need to be as neutral as possible. I think the same applies here. Use the players that help you win games. This year I picked up Ike Hilliard on waivers and he has sured up my receivers.

So I guess in short I play the players I think will help me win my league.

I try to stay away from Cowboys at all costs. I won't even rank Quincy Carter, he goes on the do not draft list.

I will never have a cowgirl on my team. I refuse to do it. I feel like a traitor or something. On the other hand, I have learned to avoid redskins as well. I feel that it is too much like betting with your heart.
