Dave Sheinin of the Washington Post reports that O's VP Jim Beattie made inquiries to that end but would not discuss what was said or what he would be willing to offer in exchange."

i am a huge Nomar fan and would love to see him inked to a 5 year deal along with Vlad!!!

i think Angelos is scared of DC getting a team and that many frustrated O's fans will go South to watch competitive baseball. he is gonna be forced to spend to attract premium baseball talent, which attracts the fan support again. if you see how badly the O's attendance has dropped with their record you will understand why the organization has got to open the wallets. we also have competent GM's now that won't waste the money (Belle? Segui? Fordyce? etc, etc...)
