He didn't play long because he got tired very fast, and he said he came out because he didn't want to be a weakness on defense. In the first half of last nights game in about 12 minutes he dominated, he scored 18 points, had 10 boards and 2 blocks :) WOW. I don't know if he is recovering from the flu but he tired out very fast and didn't want to hurt the team so took himself out.

When's the last time you heard a star player asking to come out? And he's going to lead the Wizards to the playoffs?

Come on, all that drunk driving and partying in the offseason's got to have an impact on his conditioning. Give the guy a break. It's not his fault.
If he did have the flu it's a different story, but it sure sounds odd that he's doing so well, felt no pain or muscle tweaks and asks to be pulled.

I'll tell you what, Stackhouse needs to get his ***** ass off the injured list and come back to help out this team. In a way these injuries were a blessing in disguise for the younger players to grow, but now it is just getting old. Wasn't Stackhouse expected to return in early December?

Did you hear the soundbite from the coach about stackhouse??
He said something like, i don't know what Stackhouse is up to some type of cloak and dagger thing, he could be ready a week from now a month from or 2 years from now, don't know.

I think the players are starting to get frustrated with losing. This is where Jordan has to regain their focus and help them keep their composure. Arenas is back, but he hasn't shaken all the rust off yet.
The longer Stackhouse remains unable to play, the more I lose respect for him. Maybe I'm wrong for saying this, but he should've let the team know about his knee issue alot earlier in the off-season. He could've had it diagnosed, and had the surgery well in advance. Then he could've actually been an asset to this team.

This is the Teams fault for resigning the guy... He quit on the team last year and got more money for it.

I hope he stays where he is for the rest of this season. Winning games against teams like Philly hurt our lotto odds. This season was over when Arenas 1st got hurt. If our win total does not go over 18 we have a good shot at Dwight Howard or Okafor.

I hate it when teams lose games on purpose to get a better draft position. It's disrespecting the fans who paid good money to go to the MCI Center and watch them dog it on the court. Cleveland did just that to get Lebron.
They don't need some superstar wannabe to come in here and save the team, they have enough talent to do that on their own. Yet their young, and inexperienced, and when you have your two best players on IR, what more can expect of the rest of the team?
In the long run, the injuries to Arenas and Stack will probably do this team alot of good. Because of Stack's knee injury, Hughes has been able to step up and become a dominant scoring option. Kwame has made some progress, and Hayes been given more playing time. No one should've expected the Wizards to turn it all around in one off-season, but the chances for next season aren't bad.

I don't think the Wiz will dog it down the stretch. It would be disrespecting the fans but Eddie Jordan won't let that happen. I would like to see everyone healthy for once at the end of the season. You have to admit Arenas, Hughes,Stack,Kwame, and Okafor would be nice. Of course they have to stay on the court.

No he didn't. In 2007 we have to give Orlando our 1st round pick if we don't give it to them before that. This year the Wiz will use the pick.It will be top 5 at the current pace.

dude... then that is really nice. okafor is the next ben wallace. no offensive skills but an nba ready rebounding game. okeafor would be a really solid addition altho he is sorta one-dimensional. but one-dimensinoal centers such as wallace and mutombo hav dominated in the east... we gotta lose more then orlando to get the pick though. if orlando ends up getting the pick before us its clearer than my reflection against a mirror that they will take okeafor

To say that Okafor has no offensive skills is a joke. Maybe during his freshman year you could say so but not anymore. His offense just keeps gets better and better. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Jim Calhoun said that Okafor has range up to 15 feet. Now if he were only a couple of inches taller.

I believe Okafor is listed as 6'10, but he is probably closer to 6'9
