The Orioles are contemplating fielding a veteran team in 2004, at least in terms of position players :)

Mark McLemore returns as a utility infielder at 39. He joins 39 year old Rafael Palmeiro at first base and 40 year old BJ Surhoff as a part-time OF and DH.

Meanwhile the starting pitchers average 26 years of age :)

Seriously, the Orioles invested little in McLemore or Surhoff and both players are versatile and still productive.

It is just amusing to see a team that refused to add any depth the past 3 or 4 years to be gobbling up players like Pac-Man now

Bud must have given Angelos the green light about the Expos and their non-move to DC/Northern Virginia.

it's got nothing to do with DC...Boswell and the Post want everyone to think instead of the stupid ridiculous state of DC politics and the aprehension of anyone to invest close to a Billion for a team and a stadium for the city to figure a way to tax and bleed...there were two teams in DC since I was born...they left for better situations...it is Baltimore's fault?...DC has to get over it...Angelos has 40+million more to spend this season...that he didn't have last year...of course that is the DC mentality...J K Cooke spoiled us...to thinking all owners are unlimited resources for salaries to spend whatever they think is needed...not profitable.

Yes...but the reason there isn't baseball in the DC area is because Angelos has threatened to sue the MLB....so instead they are thinking about moving the team to Las Vegas.....what the f*ck....are they thinking....dc is a perfect spot for baseball id love to be able to go a game in the afternoon after work or soemthing like that.
