Chad Ford just reported this trade in his live chat over at ESPN.com

Boston gets: Chucky Atkins, Lindsey Hunter and the Pistons first round pick this year.

Detroit gets: Rasheed Wallace and Mike James

Atlanta gets: Chris Mills, Zeljko Rebraca, Bob Sura and the Bucks first round pick owed to Detroit.

Detroit will now win the East.

Artest might be done for the year for Indiana

nice, still another hour til the deadline. the trade definitely makes detroit the team to beat. Harrington might post decent numbers, but he cant give Indiana what artest was giving them. Detroit can now stack up against some of the better teams in the West.

Eesh. And Rasheed's contract is expiring, so it will give Detroit enough room under the cap in the offseason to either keep Mehmet Okur, or go after someone else (perhaps Kenyon Martin). Rasheed is pretty much a lock to go to the Knicks over the summer, and many, many sources have said he's willing to take less money to wind up there.

Detroit must be kicking themselves for not getting Carmelo this year. Imagine if he was on the team right now and then they get Wallace, OUCH.

That would be sick.

Starting Lineup:

PG - Chauncey Billups (18PPG, 5 assists)
SG - Rip Hamilton (18 PPG)
SF - Melo (20 PPG)
PF - Rasheed Wallace (20 PPG)
C - Ben Wallace. (10 PPG, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks)

Wow. Not that they would keep the same stats, but that's a hell of a lot of talent. If only they hadn't succumbed to the dream of the Eurostar. Incidentally, its not like Darko is the only Eurostar to wind up this way. The Nuggest dropped the #5 overall pick on Tskitashveli (spelling) two years ago, and that guy has done nothing but stink up the joint.
