RIlley looks like Musina out there. Of course it's only one game, but it was his first start. He's got some pretty good stuff, and he certainly had control tonight.

I have to confess, I am a little worried he will develope a Josh Powers syndrome where all he throws is strikes. If he can live with a few balls, he can make the hitters swing at some junk. His fast ball is silly good for a starter.

That was a more impressive win IMO than opening night. The O's blew several good chances to win and still found a way late to pull it out.

I love the makeup of this team and I think that the bullpen can really be a crutch for the 4 young'uns who are getting a baptism by fire!

If any pitcher is a young Mussina, it's Rodrigo Lopez.

Riley did an excellent job, though. When you see him bend that curve, you know why he was a first round draft pick.

The O's have had many young pitchers that had a great month or two, only to stink after that. (Read: ROCKY COPPINGER)
But the Orioles have young pitchers in VOLUME. only a few have to pan out and free agency can take care of the rest.
