Yea so far so good. The questionable O's Pitching is ranked 3rd in the majors in ERA so far. Good sign the young pitchers are gaining confidence and the aqusition of Lopez has definetly helped this staff.

I have a feeling it won't last long.
These pitchers can't keep it up, can they?

Skeletor, of course it won't continue like this because the young pitchers will struggle at some point. However, I like the fact that they really only NEED to get through about 5 innings per game and we have a bullpen that can get the job done.
I really believe this team can stay in contention for a while (and be in the race for a wild card till pretty late in the year) and end up 3rd in the East.
If we figure out which young arms are legit, then we can add a pitcher or two to the rotation in FA and be a very good team over the next couple of years. Who knows, Camden might get crowded again.

I've watched all the games and am especially impressed with the way Javy Lopez manages the games for these young pitchers.....additionally his bat is important......he has been a great pick up in the off seaspn....Also their manager Lou has been doing an awesome job....and has been able to manufacture runs better than in previous years....I have actually enjoyed watching the games.....

I'm pretty happy with all 4 young pitchers. Granted they haven't really beaten great teams...but you can only beat who's in front of you.
As for playoffs, no one here is saying that!! Let the people who happen to be O's and Skins fans to enjoy the nice start after so many bad years!!

I know it probably won't last, but it feels good to have a winning record.

The sad thing is the O's winning streak will probably end tonight. Tampa Bay gives them fits!

did you notice the current leader in every section has almost only played their own division and nobody else....
TheDoyler23

Yes, the Orioles have played Boston (the division fav) and split their games with them. Swept toronto (a team that has finished higher then the O's for the past few years). Tampa Bay always gives the O's problems.
As for the O's only playing w/in their division. That's how baseball works. each team plays their own division 19 times per team (less in the NL Central cause they have 6 tems), and starts off against that division for the most part.
