Tonight I'm going to the Phillies game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks (lucky me Randy Johnson is pitching too:cool: ). Never been to the new stadium, and was looking for some advice on how early to arrive, parking, and what to see first. There's so much new stuff at the park, I want to get their early enough to walk around so I'm not standing in line for food during the game. If anyone has experience with the park and can help, please let me know, Thanks.

Have not been yet but, do have tix to games in July and Sept so I guess you will have to fill me in on details. For what it is worth in the past I have gotten to game 3 1/2 hours early got parking, pounded a few beers in the lot and wandered into the Vet for phillies games, I am sure you have done the same. Have a great time

I'm going as well for the first time tonight. Chief, are you a fan of all teams in the Washington area, or only the Redskins, and like the rest of the Philly teams?

In regard to this question, that's the situation I'm in. I'm a diehard Redskins fan, and my other teams go: Phillies, Sixers, Flyers.

How did that happen?

Wish I could be of more help to you, but seeing as how I've never been there myself, I'll be experiencing it for the first time as well.

Lived in Virginia from 1987-2000. Only been living up here near Philly for almost 4 years. Lived most of my life in Redskins territory.

Ed, thanks for the info.

Luckily the Phillies aren't playing the Marlins tonight. Therefore you have a chance of seeing your team win!:D

Ok,

The game was great last night (even though the Phillies lost, blew a 3-0 lead against Randy Johnson.) The park is very close if to if not better than Camden Yards. It's a very fan friendly atmosphere, and there is a lot to do before the game. Before the game I sat and ate on a deck in centerfield while dodging HR balls during BP. The food is great, good selection of Philly favorites. Also, not a bad seat in the house either.

To anyone planning on heading out to Citizens Bank Park, get there WELL before the game starts. If you want to get to all the hottest places to eat, etc. you're gonna need to be there 2-3 hours before game time. Parking is not bad, you can park in Lincoln Financial Field's Parking Lot across the street for $10. (getting out is worse). You're probably better off parking on a street away from the park and walking a few blocks to get there.

Damn, too bad I just saw this post. We all have to get together for a game this year. I work at the Trappe Tavern in Collegeville. I've been @ 2 games so far, an if you want to see the Stadium get there early. Harry K's is cool and MacFaddens is a good time too. Expensive but fun. The Stadium itself is sweet. Fun atmosphere and the the food is awesome. Geno's, Tony Lukes, Philly Preztels. I'm with you guys, a die hard skins fan, and I love the Phils, Sixers, and I root for the Flyers. I'm a Wings Fan 1st. Shoot me an e mail and we'll get together during the season. I need help converting my girlfriend from an Eagles/Steelers fans to a Skins Fan!!!!
