Well looks like Mazzilli along with the O's realized that they were on a winning streak, and they knew they had to stop it somehow. First, playing luis lopez, no matter where he is being played, is just a horrible decision. We have better talent in Frederick. Second, fielding a lineup with Machado and Luis Lopez playing on the same damn day is just horrible. Third, just bad managing by Mazzilli. I know Grimmsley really did bad, but bringing Ryan in too face a righty makes a whole lotta sense(sarcasm). Lee doesn't believe in the whole matchup thing I guess, even though we have lost many games due to this. Bj didn't pitch bad, that ball would have been caught by any of our other 3b, god forbid maybe even Tony Batista, but the nuisance Luis Lopez was playing there. Better decision: Newhan 3rd, Hairston and either Mottola/Raines in OF, and maybe put Lopez at 1b. Lopez was only 5/10 with 2 hrs against Millwood in his career. Hopefully it's just an offday for the O's bullpen and entire team, and tomorrow they will begin playing well again as they have been recently. Also, go Bedard, after a rough 1st he cruised up until the solo hr he gave up to Lieberthal. 10 k's in 7 ip
and only 2 BB. Is it a coincidence our pitching has improved since Wiley left? I do not think so.

You do realize that B.J. Ryan did good for the one out he pitched, don't you? You say you do, but you're still mad about it? How is that a bad decision?

I know Bj Ryan pitched well, but because of Lee Mazilli's poor managing, we lost the game. That is all I am trying to say. If Hargrove were here and we were doing this bad this late in the season, he would have been fired by now.
