Jerry Hairston broke his left ankle yesterday trying to make a play in CF. At first, the orioles said he would miss 4-6 weeks, but now it looks like he will not be back until next year, if he is still an Oriole. Also, Larry Bigbie was placed on the dl with a sore hamstring. His injury does not appear to be serious, as he was put on the DL more as a precaution then because of injury. Darnell Mcdonald, who is a bum, and Val Majewski, the hot hitting AA prospect who should of been promoted to AAA not Baltimore(he was hitting .307 with 15 hrs and 80 rbis(Another bad stat, RBI really means nothing) along with 14 sb and a .849 ops). Also, David Segui most likely will not be recalled until September 1st, when the rosters expand. We will most likely get to see John Maine, Kurt Ainsworth(Yes he is alive), Matt Riley, and Mike Fontenot(2b who makes maybe both of our 2b replaceable, hitting .280 with 8 hrs, 10 3b, 41 bb, and an .ops of 793, and hes 24 years old).

Hairston is done for the year, Bigbie is gone for @ least the next 10 days or so(retroactive dl).

The Orioles promoted Mal Majewski, who could be making his ML debut tonight.
