On a side note, I am not sure where I should be testing signature files. Someone guide me to the correct area please

Since you obviously know how, could you tell me how to get my own pictures into my sig. I know I need to put it somewhere and then link to it. But I don't know where or how.

I'm not the slickest grease in the pan, so as much detail as you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

There are several steps involved in getting your signature to post.
1. Your pic needs to be uploaded. To do this you need either your own server and webspace, or a website that will host your pic for you. If you don't have a webspace, PM me your pic, and I can size it if needed, and upload it for you to my server.
2. This great forums that Extreme has provided will allow you to post several formats. If you have a standard signature it will most likely be in jpg or gif format.
3. Not sure if you know how to post a pic from a website, so I will go in to that a little. If you have the URL [example this new siggy for Chris www.clan-be.com/chris.gif] you will need to add the code to make it show. in the tool bar that is at the top, you will notice the one that looks kind of like a cartoon to the right of the letter. On this site, all one needs to do is hit that, type in the url, and follow the java script, and it does it for you.
4. To host a sig you need to do it manually, so the code would look like this = IMGxxxxxxxxx/IMG the x's in this case would be the url of where your pic is hosted. img need to be in lower case letters. Both of the img's need to have brackets around them like [ ] tried to post it, but the forums see's it as code. Hope this makes sence...

I hope that helps you. If you have problems, I can host your signature, and then email you the code to post in your signature area. You can get to that area through your UserCP located at the very top left of most pages at Extreme.

The border didn't quite turn out like I had hoped, but was already in to the sig 3 hours. We'll get it better next time around.

Hey Chewy, thanks for your response. And, for your offer to host a pic for me. I will try to PM my picture to you. Nothing fancy. It's a bmp made in Paint. I'm sure it will need to be resized to fit the size limits here. Would welcome any suggestions you might have about it. Also, let me know of any fees are required for your services, as I do not expect to use your time for free.

PS - I do know how to add pics to my sig by linking to a website, but thanks for detailed info any way.

OK, I have the attachment, and I need some input from you.
I Like the basic design, but I am not sure what the "S" in the middle of the shape is representing. I know it's along the lines of Superman, but maybe it is a personal thing like Superfan. I can edit whatever you would like, so don't worrie about that.
I also can leave it like it is, put in some kind of background, or maybe even break out the air brush a bit. Your call.

Anyway, right now I am just playing around, keeping my Photoshop, and Flash skills fresh. I see many people that I know the name from years gone way back on the old news boards we used to use before this bad ass site. Right now this is fun for me, and there is no charge for the art work.

Hey Chewy.

All I did was take the Redskins feathers and add them to the Superman logo. I'd prefer leaving it up to each individual to decide exactly what it says. To me it says "SuperSkins"

I was thinking to leave it like it is. Except to maybe sharpen it a bit, and double check the colors. (I darkened it so it would show up on the t-shirt iron on I made for myself) Give it a more glossy look. No background.

If you WANT to play around some, maybe underneath, these lines and pics could fade in & out. One at a time.

1. "Look, down on the field"... (no photo)

2. It's a Coach...(with action photo of Joe Gibbs)

3. It's a Team...(pic of team circled around a coach doing the rah rah. If you have one)

4. It's the SuperSkins...(with the logo, which pauses longer on this than all the others.

I think what I will do is work on the art work, and dress it up a bit. I have a couple of ides in mind, but I think for this one i'll just do some art work, and leave out the flash.

Add some yellow shading to the letters so they stand out.

I have an image of the funbunch that I want to be my signature, but I can't copy and paste into the signature box. I can only type words in there. How do I do that? Do I have to copy and paste from Word?
