View Full Version : Medal of Honor (PC Game)

After reading some of the reviews by board members I went and bought "Medal of Honor." I am not an avid gamer. In fact, MOH was the first game I have bought. I was blown away! I can see how it could be addictive ... for a couple of nights there it was cutting in on my "Extreme" time. Can't have that.

Anyway, thanks for the tips. I am enjoying it.

One question. Does anyone else see a striking similarity to "Saving Private Ryan" other than the obvious setting? I feel like I'm playing that movie during the Normandy section. Out of the boat, into the water, onto the beach, up to the shelf, through the wire/mines to the wall. Same corner. Same "Covering fire!" Same pillboxes with guns. Impact craters. It is almost verbatim. Makes me wonder if there would be a case for infringement. It is THAT similar to me, which is a good thing IMHO.

Thanks again.

Oh yea. Definately a similarity. I can't remember which one the of couple of dozen articles about the game it was and where I read it, but the makers of the game definately used the movie as a "guide". The movie set the standard and these guys wanted the gamer to experience little of that movie first hand,so to speak. They did well. Great Game!

Brave here's a sit that has more info on it than a gamer such as myself can even handle. Just look to the left hand side. Cheats, hints, ect...

http://www.planetmedalofhonor.com

this one is the official site that I'm sure is listed on the box, but just in case. It's a bit more sane. They even have a patch now. Have to download that.

http://www.mohaa.ea.com/

Thanks for the tip, PCS.

I am stuck trying to get to the trench from the impact craters and was needing some help. That site looks like it can guide me through some of the stumpers.
