Lady Om ...

Sorry, this is personal and self-serving ... but I happen to know someone special is likely reading today.

15 years ago this very day I stood at the altar with simply the most wonderful lady in the world. Amazingly enough, she said "I do," and that was Miracle Number One.

That "she has," for each and every one of the magical years since, and given me more joy than any man could ever hope for, is clearly Miracle Number Two.

Miracles Three, Four and Five are growing up fast. No children ever had it better (on the maternal side, anyway http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/smile.gif ).

The Lady that beguiled and seduced me back in our school daze some 21 years ago continues to do so each and every day, and I know a lucky man when I see one.

Let me state to the world that it is my deepest hope and ongoing dream that the next 15, or 21, and with any fortune far, far beyond, I can give back to her some small part of that which she has given me.

I'm inclined to believe everything you said about your wife to be true.

It isn't hard to gather you lead a very happy and satisfying life (the exception possibly the Norv Turner years http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif ); I'm sure your wife is a huge factor in that.

I did open the door by posting this thread in the first place ... but I really don't want to talk too much about her/us here. She's a very private, humble lady (proving once again that opposites clearly DO attract), and I'm guessing it would be her wish that I just shut up, already.

(I will say this, though: I believe it was in spite of my propensity to endlessly etymologize, overtly obfuscate, and mindlessly mangle words that we came to be together ... and not because of them. It's funny...when you're a teenager or young man, you boast of how you'll never be whipped. Later in life - if you're lucky - you discover that the GOAL is to be whipped.
