View Full Version : Lady Om ...
June-7th-2001, 06:38 AM
Sorry, this is personal and self-serving ... but I happen to know someone special is likely reading today.
15 years ago this very day I stood at the altar with simply the most wonderful lady in the world. Amazingly enough, she said "I do," and that was Miracle Number One.
That "she has," for each and every one of the magical years since, and given me more joy than any man could ever hope for, is clearly Miracle Number Two.
Miracles Three, Four and Five are growing up fast. No children ever had it better (on the maternal side, anyway http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/smile.gif ).
The Lady that beguiled and seduced me back in our school daze some 21 years ago continues to do so each and every day, and I know a lucky man when I see one.
Let me state to the world that it is my deepest hope and ongoing dream that the next 15, or 21, and with any fortune far, far beyond, I can give back to her some small part of that which she has given me.
Happy Anniversary, babe.

Speaking of ladies, are there any who actively participate in this forum? I wonder what they would think of Deion (wow,2 drinks and it's barely past noon).
Anyway, it sounds as if you've got everything a guy could want. A very happy anniversary! Here's to the next 15!!

Which class did she teach? http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Congrats to you and your wife. I'm engaged and will be married at the end of September. I hope that I'm as you are in a couple of decades with my seducing and beguiling lady.

I'm inclined to believe everything you said about your wife to be true.
It isn't hard to gather you lead a very happy and satisfying life (the exception possibly the Norv Turner years http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif ); I'm sure your wife is a huge factor in that.
Congrats Om and Mrs. Om. Cheers.
I would personally like to thank Blade for giving me "The Squire" rank.

Why must every post by filled with comments about <That Name Which Shall Not Be Said> ? i mean seriously....
we're talking about his wife... not <That Name Which Shall Not Be Said>.

Let me guess, you guys met in Literature class, or was it Creative Writing. Seriously though, did you win her over with poetry or something? I'm guessing your way with the words could only have helped your situation.
Happy Anniversary Om and Lady Om and here's to more great stories.

I did open the door by posting this thread in the first place ... but I really don't want to talk too much about her/us here. She's a very private, humble lady (proving once again that opposites clearly DO attract), and I'm guessing it would be her wish that I just shut up, already.
(I will say this, though: I believe it was in spite of my propensity to endlessly etymologize, overtly obfuscate, and mindlessly mangle words that we came to be together ... and not because of them. If I actually talked this way (I don't, you know ... or at least not until the buzz kicks in), I'd be Cliff Clavin, and living with my Ma. http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/smile.gif )
Anyway, thanks to all for your kind words. May every one of you find (and/or hold on to) your own little slice of ... happiness. http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/cool.gif

I had to make sure that your post didn't also contain an audio as well.....something like the Carpenters "why do birds...suddenly appear....everytime......you are near"
Congrats bud, sounds like a success story in an "industry" of very few.

Congrats Bro. Sounds like a dream come true.
Could you adopt me?

Ditto on what the rest said. Congratulations to the Oms.

Ohmygod. Dave got a hold of the pictures.
Wish I had thought of the sound track thing, but our tastes run a bit different. A little Jeff Kashiwa perhaps, maybe some old Weather Report, then stir things up and move on to, say, Steppenwolf, when things get warmed up (I'm thinking Magic Carpet Ride). Of course, if things go really well, there's only one way to cap off the evening ... with the Fab Four: Come Together http://www.extremeskins.com/ubb/cool.gif
(Pete ... your room's ready.)

It's funny...when you're a teenager or young man, you boast of how you'll never be whipped. Later in life - if you're lucky - you discover that the GOAL is to be whipped.
My congrats as well...
