FedEx in its current form is a little harder to read. What would help would be widening the "Thread" column so that fewer titles wrap around 3-4 times. This could be done by narrowing the excessively wide "Thread Starter" column, which only needs around half of that space, even with the longer names.

You're right Redman. I was thinking along the same lines too. We'll get that fixed ASAP.

However... just to be sure... you're experiencing that because you're viewing the board with the LEFTHAND COLUMN feature activated right? Because with it deactivated... the SUBJECT TITLES don't wrap all too often except for exceptionally large subject lines.

DH-

I'm not sure what the "Lefthand Column" feature is. I lookedin my "edit options" page and nothing similar was there. Let me know how/where, and I'll answer your question.

Here's the url for the FORUMS home page (otherwise known as the Forums summary page because it lists all the available forums): http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/index.php

You see the USER INFORMATION box top right? When you're logged in... this is what you should see:

Hail, Redman [Log Out]
PMs: You have 0 new pm(s)
Staff | Mark All Forums Read | Show Leftcolumn

"Show Leftcolumn" is the feature I'm speaking of. When you click that option... you will see the MAIN MENU from the website available to you on the left side of your screen. However, doing so compromises a bit of width... which would force the subject lines for wrap; especially longer titles.

However, since you weren't aware of this feature it's unlikely you have it activated. Hence, I'm guessing you have a larger resolution on your monitor. What resolution are you using?

To answer your question (finally), DH, I haven't been using the "Left Column Function".

What about a chat room? I notice a lot of users online at the sametime. I'm new to all this and really don't know anything or anybody at all. A good way for many of us to get to know each other.

This new font or type style you just switched too.... whatever it is.... is much harder to read than what you originally were using. I am not really complaining, but just expressing my preference here.

Die Hard,
I would like to compliment you on the smilies in use. I thought that Yahoo had the best smilies on the Internet, until I saw these moving ones in use here.

Where did you come up with these? Who does the art work or animation, etc?

inmate - I happen to agree with you. Now I have to find out who did it and have them change it back ;)

RE: the smilies... every few months I go on a smilie pilgrimage and scour the internet for the best smilies; the ones that best reflect what members may need without overkill.

When exactly did the fonts change? And was it just the forums or the portal as well?

blaix - no worries. Blade was experimenting :) Things have returned back to normal.

I second the vote on the chatroom. I think it's the only thing missing here. It would let us get into some REAL spirited debates and let us get to know each other more.

Gatoreye - A chat room is one of the features on our wish list. Hopefully we'll have one in time for the season. But that's one of the things I want before we start selling t-shirts :)

What about an irc channel? There could even be a java applet on the site that could access it.

What is it exactly that is preventing us from having one? Is it money or something else we could help with?
