We are kicking so much ass right now.
6-4 with a butt easy schedule coming up.
Once Etan and Kwame come back, we're going to improve a LOT defensively. We're scoring mondo points right now, over 100 on a nightly basis. Our D has been sour but it's going to come together.
Jamison/Hughes/Arenas are looking like the Cassel/Allen/G. Robinson from the Bucks. Jarvis as a spark and Jeffries as a defensive stopper coming off the bench is going to rule once Etan and Kwame come back.
Wooohoo. Things are looking good in basketball world for the first time in forever.

You know we have a Wizards forum right?
You might find some Wizards fans in there... and more people who give a crap about basketball. Just a hunch :)

Raptor fan?
I think the wiz will make the playoffs but we won't win the conference, curious how this team plays with Kwame when he gets back.

I don't know about winning the Eastern Conference. But it would be nice to atleast make the playoffs and shock some people. Also, a little respect will help. Because the Wiz gets none. I guess until they start knocking off some quality teams, they won't get alot of respect.
We have to beat teams like the Mavericks, Heat and others. And hopefully when Kwame and Ethan comes back. The wizards will have a better showing against teams like those the 2nd time around.
Also, on the NBA power Rankings listed on ESPN web site. The Wiz gets no respect. And they have teams above us that we currently beat and we have a better record. Unitl the Wiz continue to whoop up on lighter opponents and pull off some quality wins against the better teams. We won't get any respect.
The Wiz/Bullets been in a slump for to long to get any respect right now. So they must go out and take it...

Ten games ago, at the beginning of the season, I could never have imagined that Hughes, Jamison, and Arenas could have settled into their roles so effectively and patiently. They are clearly a cohesive unit, something I did not see happening a few weeks ago. Hughes' play has been exceptional the past few games, Arenas' turnovers have decreased immensely as has his poor shot selection, and Jamison continues his consistent play. All the calls to trade Jeffries have suddenly ended. He seems like a whole new player, largely because he is playing aggressive and with a lot of confidence. Haywood has been a force on the boards on the offensive and defensive ends, and has certainly justified his five-year contract extension. Already decimated, if the Wizards can stay relatively healthy, they can compete for a 6 or 7 spot in the playoffs.

I'm glad to finally see some life in this team. But one step at a time gents. Lets first hope we can make the playoffs and then we'll go from there. I was looking at the attendance at last nights game and it was only 14 0r 15 thousands. Thats a little light in my opinion but what can the wiz expect after the way they did Jordan. I guess as long as we are winning the fans will start to come back. It looks to me that we have a very exciting young team. I would love to see them play personally. Take a look at this little stat if we can maintain this pace we will have a 50-32 record by season end.

I mean, we're playing great right now, but we've still got to see how the team handles the mid-season slump that most temas go through, plus we've got to pray that no serious injury bug hits us or that nobody gets suspended. BUt you know that players are going to have bad stretches, and we need to get through that first.
Plus we've got this whole thing about getting Kwame and Etan back into the lineup. RIght now we've got a cohesive team with shot sistribution and defense, but that's gonna change in about 2 weeks. We need to see how the team handles that.

All I can say...if we don't make the playoffs this year...we are officially cursed!

Thats the beauty of this strong Wizards start(I know they are only 6-4, but thats a strong start for the Wiz kids). They are doing it without their most dominant low-post player, Kwame and the heart and soul of their team, Etan. I am not even including their best pure point guard in Blake. When everyone else is starting to wear down they'll be ready to go and it will make the team that much deeper.
Take a look at their schedule for the rest of December. I don't think they have a winning team on it. They should at least be able to continue to win 60% of their games in Decemeber. They should be at full strength by the new year and that will only help them. Unless of course the wheels fall off and Arenas, Hughes and Jamison all go down with season ending injuries. It has been known to happen to the NBA team in these parts.
The one thing I love about this team is the fact that they are out there night in and night out trying to earn the league's respect. They know no one will respect the Wizards unless they make them. They have earned my respect because they never give up and keep fighting.
Now, if we can just get Gilbert to play a little bit better on the defensive end and stop letting opposing PG's drive the lane, we'll be okay. Although, I think Hughes has checked PG's the last few games, all wins.

Yeah, Hughs has been taking the point guards on D. I think Arenas is actually a bit heavier if shorter, so putting him on the 2 works okay. I always liked Hughes playing D on the PGs. I thought that was the best part of his game as a PG before Arenas came.

Isn't it a little early for April Fool's Day? 6-4 is good for the Wizards but it does not equal an Eastern Conference Championship. They won't even win their own division, unless Shaq & Dwayne Wade both get injured.

We're good if someone takes out Miami for us. They own us.

Miami doesn't look as dominant as I thought they would be. Also, it seems to me the Eastern Conference defends Shaq alot better than the Western Conference did.

Lets Dance onto the bandwagon!!! The wiz are playoff bound and the best pro team in the area. Its amazing what a good Gm and coach can do. They struggled last year, but look whats happening this year. 46-36 and a 5 seed in the East is my prediction. Now all we need is a dominant low post player!!
