Draft order is not updated but I think that they'd still have us taking James . . .

1 (1) 49ers Aaron Rodgers* QB Cal.
The 49ers must rebuild, and Rodgers would be the right way to start if he enters the '05 draft. Rodgers, a junior, has made excellent progress in his development, and most NFL scouts say he is ready to make the move.

2 (2) Browns Derrick Johnson OLB Texas

Johnson, an all-around solid linebacker, is a Ray Lewis-type of defender and seems to be near the ball on every play.

3 (3) Dolphins Cedric Benson RB Texas

Benson, who is as good as they come, is a physical back with speed, size and a nonstop motor.

4 (4) Titans David Pollack DE Georgia

Pollack is big, physical and powerful. He'll be a dominant NFL player because of his size, speed and relentless pursuit.

5 (5) Raiders Carnell Williams RB Auburn

Williams has good strength, speed and an ability to fight through tackles. He will be a welcome addition to a team that lacked effective running all season.

6 (6) Redskins Erasmus James DE Wis.
James, a powerful athlete, never gives up on plays and excels at both pass rushing and tackling vs. the run.

7 (7) Buccaneers Alex Barron T Florida St.

Barron has the power, strength and athleticism to dominate at the line of scrimmage.

8 (8) Cardinals Matt Leinart* QB USC

The Heisman-winning junior has not decided whether he will enter the draft. If he does, he could be just the right fit for an Arizona offense that already has very dangerous weapons.

9 (9) Bears Braylon Edwards WR Michigan

Chicago needs a go-to receiver. Edwards is a big-time playmaker with tremendous skills, hands and speed.

10 (10) Chargers Antrel Rolle CB Miami (FL)

(from NY Giants) Rolle is an outstanding shutdown corner with the frame, speed, and skills to be a game-altering presence.

11 (11) Lions Kevin Burnett OLB Tennessee

Burnett has great speed and athletic ability. He is a dangerous presence because of his nonstop motor, tackling skills and knack for big plays.

12 (12) Cowboys Marlin Jackson CB Michigan

Dallas needs a shutdown corner. Jackson's speed and physical style of play will immediately upgrade its defense.

13 (13) Bengals Jamaal Brimmer S UNLV

Brimmer is a tough, hard-hitting, big-playmaking safety who would make an immediate impact in the Bengals' secondary.

14 (14) Saints Travis Johnson DT Florida St.

Johnson is a quick, strong, hard-hitter who can stop the run and excels at getting penetration.

15 (15) Panthers Elton Brown G Va.

Brown, a dominant force, would blast open holes for Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster.

16 (16) Chiefs Corey Webster CB LSU

Webster is fast and hard-hitting; he'll bring playmaking skills and a tough attitude to the Chiefs' secondary.

17 (17) Texans Dan Cody DE Oklahoma

The Texans are one season away from being winners. Cody, a tough, physical, speedy end, makes big plays, leads and knows what it takes to win.

18 (18) Rams Antonio Perkins CB Oklahoma

Perkins is just what the Rams need -- an experienced shutdown corner with outstanding speed and ball skills. He also is a standout special teams player.

19 (19) Jaguars Mike Williams* WR USC

If Williams lasts this long, the Jags will jump at the chance to draft him. With his size and playmaking ability, he would be a crucial target in Jacksonville's offense.

20 (20) Vikings Barrett Ruud ILB Nebraska

The Vikings sorely need a linebacker like Ruud, who has size and speed and is a hard-hitting tackler.

21 (21) Seahawks Matt Roth DE Iowa

Roth's physical, aggressive, nonstop style will bring some fire to a defense that has lacked intensity.

22 (22) Ravens Mark Clayton WR Oklahoma

Clayton does everything well -- run, jump, catch and even block. He would be a perfect target for Ravens QB Kyle Boller.

23 (23) Cowboys Jammal Brown T Oklahoma

(from Buffalo) Brown is an athletic giant with outstanding blocking skills. He would be just the right addition for the Cowboys' young defense.

24 (24) Broncos Ronnie Brown RB Auburn

Brown, a two-dimensional back, can run the ball with power and speed and is a big receiving threat. He is the type of player Mike Shanahan would love to have in his backfield.

25 (25) Packers Antwaun Rogers CB Purdue

Rogers is a big, experienced playmaking corner who will give the Packers what they have been missing since they lost Mike McKenzie.

26 (26) Jets Donte Nicholson S Oklahoma

Nicholson is a punishing hitter who excels in run support and in coverage.

27 (27) Falcons Vince Carter
C Oklahoma

Carter is a big, powerful center who could give Falcons QB Michael Vick protection and room to roam.

28 (28) Chargers Adam Terry T Syracuse

Terry has the wingspan to ride off rushers and the blocking skills to open holes for LaDainian Tomlinson.

29 (29) Colts Shaun Cody DT USC

Cody creates matchup problems on the line with his quickness and imposing frame. He is the big-time playmaker the Colts need.

30 (30) Patriots Dustin Fox S Ohio St.

Fox is an aggressive, open-field tackler who can play both corner and safety -- a perfect fit for the Patriots.

31 (31) Eagles Anttaj Hawthorne DT Wis.

Hawthorne, who has the strength and size to be a run stopper, is an unblockable force when rushing.

32 (32) Steelers D'Brickashaw Ferguson* T Va.

Ferguson, a junior, could make an immediate impact if he decides to enter the draft. He's an exceptional athlete with an enormous wingspan and the frame to add bulk.

I watched James play against Georgia. He gave up on plays. He was getting dominated. Pollack played better, but I wouldn't draft him either. Redskins now pick 9th I believe and if we are lucky enough to have Mike Williams available then, we should take him.
