View Full Version : Watching SC, I just saw the hit that Lynch put on Dallas Clark

I hope Lynch gets his wallet emptied. In the days that you know you cant lead with your helmet, he used it as a battering ram to Clarks face mask.

As much as Taylor has been fined for, I hope Lynch feels this one.

Lynch has been getting away with hits like this his whole carreer, what makes you think it'll be different this time around?

I tend to hate the rule that punishes safeties for coming over and hitting receivers. To me that's part of football, and given that our heads are located on our shoulders, how do you not lead with your head?

That being said, that hit by Lynch was a clear of a violation of the rule as there is. He launched himself at the TE's head with the crown of his helmet. Frankly, a large fine is the minimum that he should get, especially given his statements after the game to the effect that that hit was a "statement" going into this week's game. Sort of shows intent on his part, no?

Including that of his own.

If the NFL enforced their helmet to helmet rules on Lynch as stringently as they did on Mark Carrier, he too would be out of the league.

BTW, I wonder whether the reason why Dungy was basically silent on the issue of that hit was that he coached Lynch for all those years in TB . . .

To add to this, I believe that Lynch is the god-father of Dungy's son.

Lynch is one of the dirtiest players -- well, hitters at least -- in the NFL and never gets fined squat. It's crazy.

And big surprise, Champ gave up another touchdown.
