why is New York the 3rd seed and we're 4th...??
is it because they've played 35gms and we played 33?

Because New York is leading their division so the top division winners get seeds #1, 2, and 3....even though we have the better record over New York we are second in our division behind Miami so we can only get the 4th seed....make sense?

So is SkinsHokiesFan. The way playoff seeding works is the division winners represent the top three seeds for a given conference regardless of their records respective to the rest of the conference. The remaining 5 seeds are given to the best non-conference winning teams. The Knicks currently lead the Atlantic and have the worst record of all division leaders, thus they are the third seed and the Wizards are the fourth seed.

Watch out for the Baby Bulls. I think they may be for real this year.
