Graphics artists... please use this thread to develop and test your newly created custom sigs. Thanks.





15. Please maintain respectable size signatures within the limitations set herein.

Maintaining reasonable size signatures minimizes the amount of load time needed to access a given page. Furthermore, it reduces the amount of excessive scrolling required of users perusing threads. Signatures should not exceed 550 pixels in width and 200 pixels in height. These dimensions are not a guideline, they are a rule. It is the standard dimension for the entire signature size a member can use. Regardless of the quantity of photos posted, the sum area of all the photos must not exceed the stated size limitations. In addition, signatures should not contain any more than 10 lines of text. The sum total of the height (ie. 200 pixels) INCLUDES text or any combination of images and text.

I've always wondered how guys like you attach sound waves. So I tried it using the Attachments option. But nothing happened.

Generally, there are 2 ways to do it. If you want the sound to play without posters clicking, select the megaphone icon above the box you write your reply in (its the 'insert waver' option, so obviously its for wavs only). If you want the sound file to play only when clicked upon (the preferred option for most I believe), click on the Real Audio icon (a blue balloon). In both cases, you simple cut and paste the url/web address of the sound file you want to load into the box that will appear as a pop-up.

Sometimes they won't play....just depends on where you're linking from and whether they have linking blocked.
