Duncan's out per ESPN for tonight's game against Charlotte and their next one against Washington. Another lucky break for us, and all of a sudden its a winnable game at MCI.

wow, that is lucky but they are also lucky, they dont have to face Hughes and Kwame. These kind of breaks just level the field more.

Yeah, I'm sure the Spurs were wetting their pants when they heard Kwame is out.

Seriously though.. yeah this break is due. We had to play a Miami squad at full power extremely early in the year 4 times, and play the Spurs and Mavs as soon as Hughes was injured.

I hope that the guys don't overlook this game though. Remember vs the AI-less sixers, Gil said something like "At first I didn't take the game seriously, thought it would be an easy win". Good thing we won that though.

Yeah, thats part of the learning process. Hopefuly they learned from that last game.

As for Kwame. It hard for me to be down on the kid. He finally worked hard this offseason and we never got to see him really play this year.

He has played about as many games a Etan.
Kwame 14 Etan 15. and they have about the same line.

Look how rusty we think Etan is. So for me, he hasnt really played yet. He was never healthy. Im holding out hope that he returns to the form he got in late last year when he started to look like he was finally getting it.

So, as an individual theat, he might not mean as much. He isnt a Duncan, but what he adds to this team could be huge. More power post players will make the whole team more effective. He will add post defense, more fouls. Now you dont have to worry as much if Haywood get into trouble. You can keep everyone fresh and more aggressive. I think by the end of March he will show us something. Then going into the playoffs, we will need and extra athletic big man. He will prove to be a valuable assest before this is all said and done. And he is playing for a contract. He will be a very focus Kwame Brown.

Watch Ginobili tomorrow night. He's gonna eat up a defenseless Jarvis Hayes. It won't be enough for the Spurs though.

For some reason, I don't feel any relief that Duncan won't play against the Wiz. The Spurs are a championship-caliber team and teams like that find ways to win without their star player. Nothing against the Wizards. Maybe I'm still in shock because I'm so used to seeing them lose.

Ditto.
The game will be closer now that Duncan's out but the Spurs are on a another level. We are still the underdogs, no doubt.

i'd like for duncan to play. I'd want us to go up against (and hopefully beat) the best team while they're at full strength

Yeah but down the road, a win is a win. We'll take 'em any way we can get 'em right now.

I expected the Wizards to win this game whether Duncan played or not based on how poorly they played, especially Arenas, in San Antonio.

I think the Spurs will do just fine not having Duncan. They still have Parker, Ginobili, and Brent Barry!!

Guys, Ginobili sprained his ankle in last nights game and is highly questionable to play tonight. Things are looking up for the Wiz.

Get out of here....Parker is French right? Well, you can't count on the French... Ginobli is gimpy and might not play....and Barry is having a bad year and not producing well lately at all...I like our chances ;)

It doesn't matter who plays or who doesn't. Like most Wizards games it's gonna come down to the last couple of buckets.
