It had to come sooner or later.
No smart ass option for both or none, just pick one or the other or don't respond.
For me it was a hard choice. I went with Mason though because I don't see their price tags coming at a hugely different number and we need a WR more importantly, especially one who can stretch the defense.
Disclaimer: Yes, i'd like both. That's an easy decision for me. But this poll says "Rolle or Mason", and it'd be interesting to see how people prioritize.

IF LavColes gives back some of his signing bonus, that money will go toward resigning Smoot. So we wouldn't need Rolle...which is why I voted for Mason (who is my preference anyway). However, I wouldn't mind both.

Man get mason he fits what we need better and I think it would show better for the money. Also I think we will be fine in the secondary as long as we get a pass rusher.

Rolle just beat his wife up... allegedly.... he's not a high character guy Gibbs is trying to identify as a "true Redskin".
Mason...for the right place... would be a nice addition to a corp. including Jacobs, DMac, Thrash... and a drafted rookie such as Williams, Williamson, or Roddy White.

I think Mason will cost way to much. From what I've read...he is looking for a huge pay day.

If Rolle takes 10 mill or less I'd have to take him over Smoot. He's a little bigger and I feel he's better than Smoot.

If we lose Smoot, definetly Rolle. I don't want Walt Harris to be a starter next year.

You can't do a poll like this without knowing if we have Smoot or not.
No Smoot = Rolle
Smoot = Mason

how bout both, i wonder if mason and rolle are friends. if they are then they could come as a package. i wonder if they both had good relationships with g. will. i think our first signing will be one of the 2. if not both

If Smoot goes, then Rolle. If not, neither. We need to see what Jacobs and McCants can do with extended playing time. Drafting Mike Williams would be sweet.
Did you ever see the result when a corner tried to jam Mike Williams at the line?

Easily gotta go with Mason! By now, Gregg Williams has made it obvious he can put ANYONE into his system and make it work.
The defense shut down Minnesota with Garnell Wilds at CB.
Garnell who?
Exactly.

Mason, unless we can't sign Smoot.

i'd have to go with rolle. Williams has demonstrated that he can plug in lineman and linebackers and be successful, but his entire defense hinges on a quality secondary and man-coverage. Without cover corners, his blitz happy defense would not hold up. Rolle will also be much cheaper than Mason, and will provide us with at least 5-6 years of quality play, instead of Mason who is already in his 30s. Don't get me wrong, I love mason too, but between the two Rolle makes a lot more sense.
(this is assuming we lose smoot)

Rolle....i just believe that you can never have too talented a secondary in these pass-happy days

Didn't read the replies here.
I chose Mason because our D can survive without a top tier corner so long as we make a tiny nip/tuck in the pass rush department:D
With Mason it will give Ramsey a veteran target and someone who can stretch the field while Jacobs learns the system.
Having Rolle would be more of a luxury, not a necessity.

I'd take both, but we need a WR worse than we need a defensive player. Mason, and draft Williams.

That's a good point.
