Is he just TOO big to play WR anymore? too slow? His ankles can't take that weight?
I read the Dolphins are on the verge of letting him go again.
Will the next team who takes a crack at him, turn him into a TE? I'd think he's built like a more buff K2 now.
Not suggesting we do anything. Just asking for the story on him.

Too many roids.
He's more bodybuilder than football player.

Doesn't he have lots of problems with substance abuse? I think he's already had like two strikes. I don't if any team will be interested in him.

Steroids...that's one problem.
He's not slow or anything, his problems are injuries and attitude mostly.

I think somebody is going to sign him. If he can stay health, he's hard to jam at the line.

This guy has been such a letdown. I still think he's got the potential to do alot of damage though. I can't believe he won't be re-signed.

Heavy steroid use can cause weakness in ligaments and joints. Not such a big deal if you're a professional bodybuilder, but a bigger deal if you're a WR and run a lot, which puts a lot of strain on your knees and ankles.

Interstingly, when 'Zona let him walk for nothing, they explained that he was just a leg injury waiting to happen, which was why they didn't tag him, or try at all to get any comp for him.
Whattaya know.
Aside from steroids, he's also been busted for drugs.

Boston=Westbroke.
Amazing athlete who is just too brittle and too stupid to amount to anything, yet continues to have devoted admirers because of one, and only one, great season.

I agree.
I guess he needs to decide between being an underwear model or a football player.

I could see him playing for the Raiders if all else fails. Even with Porter and Moss--he would certainly fit the Raider mold as a pseudo outlaw.

I happened to think that the near incessant weight lifting has made him to big in the upper body... and the extra weight puts to much strain on the ligaments and tendons of the lower body.
The only way he'd be useful is if he quit lifting and lost about 30 or 40 lbs. Even than... the damage may still be already done.
I say pass!!!!

The lifting actually strengthens the ligaments and joints in the surrounding areas, as well as the muscles. It's the steriods that are weakening them. Some people's bodies don't handle the use of anabolic steroids as well as others.

He's shown the ability to play in the league.
For a small amount of money, it could be worth our while to give him a shot in camp.
Seriously, what could be the drawbacks?
If he sucks, shows he's become too big, too roided up, then we cut him no loss.
If he somehow shows he can regain his old form, then we just got a great WR for cheap.

no thats not true, most steroids will help strengthen ligaments and tendons etc, the problem is the dramatic weight and strength gain mostly occurs in muscles and not ligaments, to lift heavier weights or support too much bulk too fast is what causes these problems, no steroid ive ever heard off actually weakens joints

infact some, such as nandralone help support joints by uploading extra water around them
