What happens to these guys now that Rabach has been signed?
Personally, I think we should keep Freidman and dump Raymer. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I think Raymer makes more money and Friedman can play guard - Raymer is a pure center.
Though if Raymer stayed, that would mean the Redskins would have 2 centers from my alma mater.
Go Badgers!

Raymer is history after June 1st. We'll recoup a bit more space then.
Friedman is the lesser talent of the two, but he's younger, cheaper, and more versitile.

I agree, jettison Raymer and keep Friedman. He's more versatile and relatively injury-free.

We don't need three centers... Raubach and Warner will be the two we keep. Unless we use Raubach as Guard depth as well I don't see us keeping three.

Rabach is clearly going to be the center, and Friedman will just be a G/C mix, depending on the makeup of the team this fall. That justifies keeping him.
Also, are you forgetting about Nowland? He's in NFL Europe now, but we seem to be at lease mildly high on him.

If I'm not mistaken, Friedman would give us more space under the cap if he were to be released as opposed to Raymer.
Most of his cap figure is salary as opposed to signing bonus, is it not?
If so, make Raymer the back up, cut Lenny to create more cap room.

Warner... this is the guy we signed a few weeks ago... the guy that a had some "buzz" three years ago but hasn't started for any team in the NFL?
Heck... I'd rather cut them both (Raymer and Friedman) and rely on Ben Nowland (Auburn 4 year starter) as the backup than this Warner guy.
I think Raymer is gone, just lost the ability to hold the point of attack due to his age and lower body injuries. Friedman just isn't big enough to handle the job... a technician yes... just not big or strong enough to seal off the inside.
With Ray Brown being considered as a backup guard.... I expect Lennie to be jettisoned as well.

I think they will be cutting Friedman...
I think they like Raymer just not as a starter, I mean as bad as he played last yr they stuck with him and didnt put Friedmann back in the lineup...

Friedman can add depth to the o-line at the guard spot. Thats why we brought him here in the first place. I say get rid of Raymer, draft a mid round C and keep Lennie as a backup guard

I've seen Josh play in person, he's a damned good player... Just because you haven't heard of him doesn't make him crap... He started a few games last season for the Bears and played well.

I agree on Ben Nowland...we'll just have to wait and see.

Jeez - how does a guy in Europe factor in? Yes, there have neem a few guys from there to make good in the NFL, but not many, and I have to believe that Freidman is a better bet.

im not that high on Ray Brown, but I would easily keep him over Friedman as a backup guard. Both of those guys need to go, if anything, Raymer's number is less I believe, could be wrong though, and he's more of a veteran, so Id rather keep him of the 2.
