Dolphins | Boston Cut - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 7 Mar 2005 12:59:14 -0800

MiamiDolphins.com reports the Miami Dolphins announced they have terminated the contract of WR David Boston.

this is a happy day for me. The Butt of so many jokes on this board could be looking at a comeback...unless he signs with us of course.

However, I'd like to be the 1st to blame David Boston for everything that's wrong with the world.

Gas costs too much......

Brunell was already proven guilty of ALL that stuff you listed:doh:

I read that he failed a physical. Imagine a physical specimen like that failing a physical?

he needs to get his weight down. His ankles can't take all that heavy muscle.

But if the bonehead wants to play for Vet min.

How can you like both Boston and the Redskins at the same time?

Isn't his father the referee that the Redskins complained about, and in turn got every official pissed off?

He is kind of the reason why we get ****ty calls.

If we can get him for cheap, I wouldn't mind having him around. We need a big receiver, and he's about as big as they get.

March-7th-2005, 03:48 PM
well, remember they took his Dad and he couldn't ref games with an impact on the NFC East I believe.

It turns out the NFL reviewed that film and couldn't defend their man.

tell me if I'm wrong.

We should sign him for the minimum just so he can stand on the sidelines and look all hard when DBs try to rough up our smurf recievers. Nothing like a little roid rage to keep guys honest.

And on the side, he can serve as team bouncer when we go to places like Philly. :redpunch:

Geez, how could a guy go from beast to bum in like two years?

He's one of those guys who would be first man off the bus. A physical specimen.

I wouldn't mind taking a look. We need a cheap signing at WR to make up for the Coles debacle.

At this point he'd be a waste of a roster pick. He's been run out of three cities in two years now. Arizona didn't want to keep him; Marty gave him a big deal and benched/suspended/traded him after one year; now Miami flat out cuts him. What makes anyone think he would do any better with a 4th chance?

As a person who frequents them GYM, I remember telling my friends that I believe Boston was using. I was told that I was hating on him. He's the 3rd sports figure that I predicted was on Roids and was correct. I predicted track Star Ben Johnson, Lyle Alzado when he tried to make his come back to football and most recently David Boston. I was correct on all 3. But more recently with Boston, I was like to pack muscle on at the rate that he was doing it, I was like I had a strong feeling. Needless to say I got apologies from all my boys that said I was hating of course. Boston probably will never be the same without thr edge roids gave him.

AP reports the Miami Dolphins have released WR David Boston after he failed a physical.

Uh, does anybody have any idea exactly why he failed? Seems like this would be important to know when considering the subject of this thread.

I think he failed because he's carrying 230 lbs on a frame meant to carry 175. Either that or steroids. Or...maybe (since he did go to Ohio State) he's just used to failing tests.

That being said, the Raiders are going to have a sweet WR corps with Boston, Moss, and Porter.

I really wouldnt mind taking a low cost risk on him, but I can see him ending up in the football players graveyard. Or maybe Tampa as well.

Oakland would be a good home for him, your right... I stil can't believe after destroying his body he'd stay healthy enough to play... Who knos thogh...

While searching for the obligatory juiced up David Boston picture (I can't beleive this thread made it 3 pages without one! ), I ran across this article about Boston and Shawn Springs. They were apparently best buds from their Ohio State days. Granted this article is old (2002), but I wonder if these two are still close? And if so, I wonder if Springs would ever vouch for the guy if Gibbs was interested?

And oh yeah, I almost forgot.... the obligatory juiced up Boston pic.....

id like to see us get him cheap we really dont know if he is washed up because hes been hurt the last couple of years....but when hes healthy hes a beast...id take the chance if he with sign for cheap...then just go CB in the draft if we cant sign smoot.

I say we sign him to a 1 day deal with a 2 mil signing bonus to beat the following people's asses...

Brunell
Coles
Bailey
Deion

Mike Nolan wouldn't hurt either

...wow in that Ohio State article Boston actually sounds like a civilized human being, I expected just gorilla grunts and stuff like that :geek:

I was kind of surprised by that as well. I'm guessing that a lot has changed since then. That article on Boston in ESPN mag a year or two ago made the guy sound like a Rodman type character. He was portrayed as sort of a loose canon with the strange behavior, mentioning how he wears crazy colored contact lenses, has nipple rings, etc.

Being that Shawn Springs is such a level-headed professional guy, it would seem odd if they were still best buds, but you never know.

I'd rather get our free agents (Smoot, etc) taken care of first. I think Gibbs would consider Boston a distraction.

sounds like a plan. as soon as a cb jams one of our receivers, put in boston in the next play. have him body slam the cb, he may be thrown out but the cb will be out of commission. he can do that once a game. and then snyder can fund the racked up fines. woot. boston for redskin wrench man!!
