I mean come on there are so many different things happening this year for the skins. The one that i think hurts the most is losing Coles, yes we get Moss but who the hell is Moss compared to Coles. I mean he really doesnt matter Coles is the better player all around. Granted he doesnt want to play because hes not making the numbers in Yards. So go down field more. Smoot really hurts. Im shocked at how so many people are ok with losing Smoot one of our CORE players yes I said Core because He is theres no question he loves the org he loves the fans and the fans love him now where gonna see how many ppl really like Smoot after all or who really like the number he wears. And to say that he didnt deserve the amount of money he wanted maybe believable but he is a great player and deserves atleast a decent contract especally when we shelf out money to old has been players like Brunell. We lost Peirce, I'm ok with that really but if the team feels that this is a problem I am starting to get worried about that.

We all knew at some point we would have to pay for all the $ we were dishing out.

It hurts but it had to happen.

I'm not okay with losing Smoot, but I do feel the team will be okay without him. Perhaps the defense wont be quite as good, but I think Harris can do a nice enough job.

Why? Have you lost faith in Joe Gibbs and Gregg Williams already?? Why is it that every year the skins have to go out on a couple million dollar shopping spree to keep the fans happy and to pump up our hopes... maybe for once we'll fly under the radar instead of having the "experts" on ESPN picking us to go to the playoffs every year...

i like that reply but i dont think its very logical i mean we need the people that are playing with our D more than neother i mean in order for us this year to have a chance i thnk that the D really needed to stay together and that has all come apart. Nice comment though

im not pissed...we are gonna have players that dont have the big paychecks which will force them to play to earn their spot on the roster...its not just given to them becuase of their pay...I for one am happy about this FA period

I'm not the least bit phased about losing Smoot. I liked him a lot. As a Redskin and as a personality, but let's be honest, he was a great #2 CB. That's that. Walt Harris has started in the past and is more physical than Smoot is. You can't afford to be giving #2 CB's tons of money. It's called smart football. We have Taylor, so our secondary should continue to improve with or without Smoot. Frankly, I look forward to seeing what Harris or Garnell Wilds can do.

I'm not pissed. As a matter of fact, I doubt we will miss a beat due to the players we've lost. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we are better next year.

Our "D" ranking may go down a bit, but I expect we'll remain in the Top 10 at the very least, but likely remain in the Top 5. But I suspect that our offense will be improved next year.

What "experts" have you been listening to? I've not seen an "expert" on ANY sports channel or show pick us to go to the playoffs in a very long time.
