Anybody saw sports center last night. John Kruck said that we had the best bullpen in the Al East. But I believe the Kruck and Renyolds both said the Redsox had to best lineup in the East.

I'd take the O's infield over any team in the AL. Lopez behind the plate, Gibby can stay healthy he can recapture 2003 form, you've got a doubles machine as second, The energizer bunny at short and 2004 Silver slugger at 3rd.
You never know about the OF. Bigbie is primed to break out (his career path is almost identical to Paul O'Neil), Sosa is Sosa and Matos, well...who knows. They also have extremely capable 4th and 5th OF in BJ and Newhan.
As for the Pen. It's good. Sure they don't have Rivera or Gordon, but they have quality top to bottom. Ryan, Kline, Julio, Chen, Parrish (if kept), Reed all are excellent pitchers. Plus you have guys like Williams and Witasick, who would make most teams in the league.
OH and one thing that will ABSOLUTELY help the team: NO MIKE DE JEAN!!! (AKA - The soul crusher)

I want them to find a spot for Newhan on a daily basis. I love that guy, he was such a great pickup last year.
And yes, thank christ for no DeJean. How he's still around is anybodys guess. I think the Mets picked him up.

If Matos doesn't perform well in the first two months you will be seeing Newhan play more.

Thier bullpen should be pretty tough this year.
And of course, thank god for no DeJean.

Thank god that Jorge Julio is not our closer anymore.

You know, Julio actually converted I believe 22 of 25 last year. He just gave us all scares and for some reason couldn't get the save againest the Rays. He really got bad though when it wasn't a save spot, like say a tie game.
