We all know our team as a whole will produce far better than last year. But which part of our squad will be consistantly showing up every Sunday?:dallasuck :eaglesuck :gaintsuck

Defense is the safest bet to make right now. Once training camp gets under way we'll have a better indicator of how things will come together for the new faces on O.

I think that due to the fact that our O-line will be so much improved, every thing will look far improved. But it will be the O-line that is MOST improved.

I voted QB, but you had it plural. If more than 1 QB plays significantly this year, we have issues.

I sure as heck hope it's the ENTIRE offense.

Maybe our midget wide receivers will shine...

...assuming they get to carry flashlights on the field.

i think the o-line.

I agree that the O-line will be the most improved and help the offense put up some numbers (unlike last season)

I'd say the easiest part of our team to shine is the offense. I will be disapointed if our defense is not at least a top-10 and/or is not clutch. Its easier to improve from 29 to 20 than to stay in the top 5.

Chris Cooley is poised for a break out year. Considering how often Gibbs uses the TE in the various max-protect, etc. sets and the fact that Cooley won't have to stay back and block so often with a new and imporved offensive line, Cooley may have a career year. He could even be the recipient of at least ~45 receptions and around 7-8 TDs. He's shown that he's got good hands and can block at least decently well.

Cooley could be the crucial cog in our 2005 offense. :2cents:

I agree that Cooley could really have a big year. I am pumped to pick up his jersey when it comes out. I voted for O line though. We really struggled with the absense of Jansen and lack of a good Center. Both of those will be there this year and I expect for our o-line to dominate.

Offensive line. Jansen is back & we got a center now

I agree with Cooley. I think we're going to try and open our offense up early this year with our passing game (WR's more specifically) and that will help open holes up for Cooley.

I picked Runningbacks, which is tied to the fact that our O-line will be much improved. So, if you gave the option of O-line/Running Game, I would've chosen that, but since you didn't, I think it will be running game. How can you differentiate?

our run game will become more consistent, and I think our passing game might EXPLODE. of course I have no real reason for this, I just hope! heh

i say runningbacks, thanks in large part to a much improved o-line

I say the O line...they can only get better...baring injury.

i would have to say the O-line, assuming all of the parts are back intact and with the signing of Rabach, i think that unit should probably shine the most.

I said, O-Line. So in essence the whole offense.

Quarterback, and agree with SoCalSkins, only one QB should excel, and that better be Ramsey!!!

I was in the same quandary and chose Running Backs; partly because Gibbs learned more effective ways to utilize Portis' speed last year and will continue that trend, and partly because Portis started getting used to all the slowly-developing run plays that Gibbs loves so much. And of course, the O-Line will improve greatly simply because Jansen is back, but the jury is still out on Rabach. I'll wait until I see some pre-season action before I say he is an improvement.

Offensive line.

Rabach and Jansen are quite an upgrade at OC and RT from the players we fielded in 2004.

Dockery should be better if Bugel is worth his salt as a teacher, and just in case we have Ray Brown back as a top reserve inside at OG where he belongs and can still be effective.

Samuels with his financial and job security assured should turn the corner and regain his full 2001 form when he was a consensus pro bowler.

The guy is young enough and talented enough to put up some monster years for us.

OL baby,, Buges with a year to teach, and Rabach to shore up the middle,, the offense will be a better unit as a whole due to the improvement of the line.

Hopefully Ramsey will shine cause if he doesn't, we'll be looking to develop another QB

I said linebackers because with Washington in his 2nd season and Lavar wanting to come back like a beast after the injury this year, they'll be solid. I also have faith in Williams to get production out of the MLB position, but my next pick would be the O-line. With Jansen coming back, and Rabach coming in with everyone else returning for a 2nd season under Buges will show a big improvement. I'm just concerned about injuries there, though.

I voted for Special Teams. I believe they will show up every sunday, there are some great players out there, and last year we saw great displays by Tom Tupa, thrash, Betts, et al.

O-line... they are gonna MAUL people next year.

I posted offensive line earlier and I still think we will see the most dramatic change there, however, in recent days I am thinking the special teams are also going to be a clear strength.

Signing Prioleau and Allen are moves made to bring our coverage units up to speed. We retained Albright and kept Jeff Chandler to provide insurance in case John Hall is not 100% healthy.

Portis will have close to 2000 yards this season if he doesn't get hurt.

I see the OL really stepping up. This will just open things up
for Portis and Ramsey.

o-line because we have Jansen back, we have Rabach, and another year under Bugel. This should greatly improve our whole offense.

I think we will win the field position battle next year against most teams. With the signings we have made, and our weapons at the return position the special teams will make a huge difference.
