Well, I've seen the 1st 2 games of the series and seem some good playing and a breakdown yesterday.

1st game it was nice to see our bats wake up, and where else but Yankee stadium.

2nd game was a bummer when Tejeda couldn't make that catch. I feel like if he got that out then we could have held on for a 5-4 win. I was impressed with how weel we hit Johnson and how well Chen did. Honestly, Chen pitches as if he is about to give up the big hit every pitch but manages to throw well. Who would have thought Chen would strike out more than Johnson did.

Here's hoping for our 1st series win today.

Game 2 was certainly a dissapointment. I just hope it doesn't follow our pattern against the yankees, which is lose a close one that they clawed their way back into, then get crushed the next day. They won after a freak popup found fair territory. After that, Kline just gave it up.

They also got a run off of A-Rod being bush league. It's one thing to do a hard slide, with your legs and body ON the ground making a SLIDING motion. It's another to half pop up from a slide and roll into someone's chest. That was so bush. I'm glad that Jim Palmer called him out during the broadcast, cause too many people think that's a "hustle" play and it isn't.

Rodrigo vs. Pavano today. I hope we smash Pavano. I can't stand the Yankees every year signing half of the high profile FA's. Hopefully Rodrigo has another solid performance, hell if he does as well as he did against Oakland, we should win, unless Kline or Reed blow it again...

Pavano's been taken out in the second inning. Melvin Mora smacked a liner that hit him in the head. He seems ok, but likely has a concussion or something. Man, that happened in the same AB wheer Giambi missed Mora's pop fly to keep the AB alive. Tough day for him.

That's the series. Great spirit by the O's to win after droppng a bad one on Saturday. Last year's team would have lost this game, then 2/3 to the rays.

How about Rod-Lo's .64 era so far!

It's always good to win a series against the Yanks. Hopefully, our bats keep doing well and we win the series with
Tampa this week. In past years, Tampa always seems to give us trouble. Hopefully this is no longer the case.

I'll take 2 out of 3 from the Yanks any day, even though this should of been a sweep.

I hope the O's play like this when I'm in town this weekend for the Sunday game.

The real impressive thing to me, even despite Cabrera's poor start last week, our starters ERA for the year is sitting at 3.25 overall.

I think the O's look pretty good so far this season.

I have a weird feeling that the East will be tighter this year. I believe the Yanks and Sox will put some distance between the other 3 teams toward the end of the year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jays and O's hanging around into September. Just a hunch.

We're doing well. Sammy needs to get on track, but I am pleased with how well Matos is doing. Matos is one of my favorites, I want him to do really well this year like he did two years ago.

Hopefully we can light Tampon Bay up. I hate that team, we struggle against them for no reason, too. We should dominate!
