Just checking in to see whats going on up here. I've been in a deep hybernation since our Super Bowl lose, but I was awaken by the sweet sounds of birds, crickets, and of course Terrell Owens.

I think the only thing that's for sure, is that the NFC can't get any weaker than it was last year. It might of been the weakest NFC of all time.

The only games that matter to us is beating Dallas twice, including once on National TV. And beating Philly 3 times, including twice on National TV.

The early bye..well its just our turn. We've had a midseason bye for a few seasons now. I was a little dissapointed in the opener being the Bears but its cool playing Philly in the last game.

The season closer is at the Linc actually. Too bad, cause it's on my b-day and I've never had the chance to go to a Skins game on my birthday. Would be fun.

I like this schedule. Bye's happen. You don't chose when they happen, but we'll manage. I've never seen a study that says all SB winners had midseason byes.

Yeah I'm sorry you feel that way but who wants a cakewalk into the playoffs only to be smacked down. Getting to the 1st roud of the playoff isn't and shouldn;t ever be the goal. The goal every season is to win the superbowl. If we can't beat Philly, then so be it. But as far as exciting games go, I think it will be huge.

If we suck it up again this year, we still have a chance to knock them off before the playoffs... and visa versa, but whatever..

Well......to be honest, I am looking forward to this season. Finally, the NFL paridy is showing again with all the moves that we have witnessed. With Moss going to OAK, the NFC North as well as the AFC West changes. Not to mention the changes within our own division.

Let me address a few things though...

1 - Coles for Moss trade in my mind sucked. You lose a 80-90 catch receiver with toughness for a 60-70 catch injury prone speedster who doesn't like contact over the middle. Let's be real, how can we no have TWO Todd Pinkston's in the same division?

2 - TO........let him cry, complain, b#tch all he wants, techincally, he signed really a two year contract And with the emregance of Greg Lewis last year including the Playoffs and Super Bowl, I'm not that concerned....especially, if the Birds get Matt Jones.

3 - The Dolphins will have a better record than most people think. Saban's teams have always had a strong defense and a good running back. With the draft loaded with talent and the Dolphins having the Number 2 pick, I say they get a new car, maybe a Caddy?

4 - NEW YEAR'S DAY GAME WILL MEAN SOMETHING THIS YEAR! I expect the Eagels vs Redskins game to be basically be about the Eagles fighting for home field against the Skins fighting for a Wild Card. This could be the game of the year and for it to be something that both teams will not forget for years to come.

If so will you be one of the eagles fans that makes threats and not follow up on them. I distinctly remember some eagles fans let me how they would beat the DTC to the stadium, but they didn’t. I remember some eagles fans said they were gonna take over our tailgate, but I as I told them they didn’t get with in 900 feet of us.

Whats up Gibbby? Nah, I'll be in full OPTIMISTIC mode for the Sunday Night game. I'm kinda nervous though about it. It takes place too soon in the season for my taste, just like the MNF game you guys have with the Cowboys. Games like those you would want them to have some sort of meaning or significance to it other than just another rivarly game. At least though this year I might be down there......my job might let me relocate to D.C. since Cingular has bought AT&T Wireless, they need more CIngular reps down in the VA/D.C. area. I'll keep you guys posted. ;)

Of course. Why would you NOT want to face Philly under those circumstances?

Imagine we beat them to get into the playoffs....
